The actress from MKX portrayed a tough fighter. Ronda doesn't need to portray anything; she IS a tough fighter in real life. It works for me. That doesn't mean I dislike the previous incarnation of Sonya.

Most of them are cringey because of how it was written though. The stuff between her and Cass and Johnny are really good.
I've heard them. She sounds fine. Definitely less showy or theatrical in comparison the others. I actually already prefer her voice to Noob Saibot's voice in the reveal.
I mean, the MKX actress was Battlestar Galactica alum Tricia Helfer, who is much better than 90% of actors, voice or otherwise. So that's not saying very much.
