Sajam talks about people defending companies

the lack of understanding about fighting games and the FGC history in the above statement is staggering.
More like video games in general. Developers learn from each other and borrow ideas, which is perfectly normal and a good thing.
The masses call it "stealing" or "rip off" not realizing it's being done to give them a better fucking game.

MK games are 97.5% played by casuals and non fighting game gamers -- in spite of its "competitive" and "e-sports" aspirations. As such, most will either dump the game once the new game lustre fades, or defend it to death--in order to justify their purchases. The pro$ are compromised, and will play and shill for anything -- thus, are irrelevant

Sadly, this is why the sharp downgrade (from MKX/9) that MK11 has experienced, will likely be only a portent of things to come. For we're in the race to the bottom now, where gameplay, roster, respect for lore etc., have taken a back seat to "accessibility" and politicking -- and most blindly defend anything that is done with the IP.
