[RESOLVED] MK9 subzero ice clone glitch.

Hey guys, I caught this today. Basically after the slide im trying to do a ice clone. As you can see from the video, sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. Can distance play a part of it? Is it a glitch? Also, if you freeze your opponent in the air and do 1,1, ice clone, the same will happen.

Actually I think it WOULD be a glitch if it worked that close because as you wakeup you would fall right into the clone, and could possibly repeat, therefore it could have the potential to be an infinite?

When it works, you are distanced just enough to where the opponent is able to block on wakeup.

Not a glitch. In the video, the only time you were able to ice clone is when you slid from full screen. Which means after knockdown you were far enough away from Mileena for the ice clone to work. If you're too close to your opponent the ice clone won't work, like it is in UMK3. Some tricks will be used with meaty ice clones for sure, definitely not a glitch though.

This is not a glitch... it's purposeful the same way the proximity of the clone works in UMK3... if you're too close and do the clone, you simply flip backward but no clone comes out. This is to avoid the original MK3 Ice Clone glitch as seen here:

Yep, perfectly fine like Juggernaut and Storm's already covered, it's for balance. MK3 was when the move was first introduced and was uber broken, since then it's been fine however
