Hi this is just an ordinary kombo thread.

Please post what you have.

Meterless

11 xx df3f , 2 3, f 32 xx bf 4 - 257 dmg

2 3, fu 233 db4 - 303 dmg

2 3, 2 3, 4 xx bf4 - 275 dmg

2 3, 4 xx df3f df3 fu 233 xx db4 - 321 dmg

23, 4 xx df3f fu 233 xx db4 - 325 dmg

-F32 F23 Dash S4 dff3 enhanced f32 slide for like 392 damage. 368 if you don't spend meter on the fast force ball.

Corner:

-114 1df3 S4 dff3 j344 db4 for 321 damage
-First combo works as well but you have to slightly back up before f23

All I've done so far. We can end in invisibility too instead of slide, maaaaybe a set up potential?

Excited to see what others come up with :)


And I got the second combo from this guy and then saw the forceball stuff worked the same, just wanted to give credit:

I personally don't think Reptile needs 2-3% more damage in combos as much as he needs a way to consistently deal with zoning and a way to make people stop blocking low.

Scorpion OH is too slow. Playing against good players, it never lands. The Darrius setup looks nice, but that's the entire Kameo meter for one setup.

I'd love to see some gameplay to see how everyone's approaching Reptile.

I personally don't think Reptile needs 2-3% more damage in combos as much as he needs a way to consistently deal with zoning and a way to make people stop blocking low.

Scorpion OH is too slow. Playing against good players, it never lands. The Darrius setup looks nice, but that's the entire Kameo meter for one setup.

I dont need a decent overhead at all. He looks pretty solid imo. I havent had a lot of trouble until now starting combos.

I actually dont like his spit tbh, but atm its not a problem

settled with frost now for counterzoning and grounded combo starters. i think reptile is the lamest character in the game, in a positive way :cool:

What is the best anyone getting off 1? I’ve been using 11 xx df3 > uf233 xx kameo > f23 for 292 but I was hoping there was something better without too much resources, or ending hard knockdown too

I'm probably going to start pairing him back up with sektor again. I've been mostly using him with motaro. Teleport acid spit combos are nice and so is triple fireball but I feel like rocket would give more chances to enforce mixups and telepunch could help counter zone. You could probably probably slip flamethrower after a blockstring occasionally. From a few distances you can get slide off of a telepunch hit or use the time to elbow dash if it hits from outside slide range.

Flamethrower is great for neutral. Sektor is a great Kameo for Reptile, I was tripping. I pretty much switch between Sektor/Darrius rn, but I may be trying out Goro this afternoon.
 
No kameo 1 bar corner combo 37%

-Starter (b31, f13, f21) reg df3, slight step back 3,2 s4 df3b EX J33 db4

You don't have to ex the second df3b but it makes it easier if you do i feel. Without ex its 34%. Trick is to land at the top of s4.

-Jump kick, f23, s4 slow forceball j233 db 36%, ex slow force ball for 39%.


Goro Kameo midscreen:
-f211 (or f311) far Goro assist dash bf4 23%. Imput goro assist right during or just after last hit of f211.
-f21 (or f31 or b31) df3 j233 mid Gore assist dash f32 bf4 34%. Not much better than regular bnb but still, its there for plus 3 damage. I guess off a random force ball connecting midscreen this would be good (would do 27%).

Goro Kameo corner:
-f211 (or f311) Goro close assist s4 df4 s4dff4 f32 bf4 35%
-Same combo as above but with b313 nets 33%
-f211 (or f311) close Goro assist s4 df4 EX j233 db4 37%
-Jump kick, f23, s4 slow forceball j233 db 36%, ex slow force ball for 39%


I don't yet understand the specifics of this yet, but any combo ended in j233 db4 can set up a near guaranteed Goro stomp. Feels especially strong in the corner.

Why is Reptile punished so hard for his drip

Edit: In the first kombo, replacing the ender with JI233xFang Drop makes the combo 318. Still, way heavier execution for less than a quarter percent damage.
