I'm pretty sure thy're not gonna revert shuriken changes, they usually don't. As more buff I'd like to see his run cancel faster and be cancelable into specials, especially the armored takedown and grab.

If shurikens don't revert to at least trade then this is the worst and most idiotic nerf in NRS history.

Not only is NRS to blame; the idiots that don't play enough to know what ducking is, I blame them.
Right? Never in NRS' history have they nerfed a projectile like this. They've nerfed damage, startup time, recovery, etc, but nothing like this. Fucking stupid.

I'm not getting excited about a god damn thing until I get to actually try it out for myself. NRS fucked us last time.

I mean the vast majority of y'all just threw ninja stars and then fell apart once the opponent got in.

Nah. I don't think they're going to touch his projectile at all anymore. Not in a good way, anyway. They'll probably nerf it again somehow.

If his run cancel is legit something scary, I'll be happy with the change.

• Increased health by 50

• Added new follow-up to Charging Pain, "Pain Reaper"

• Charging Pain Delay Cancel now recovers 7 frames faster

• (Air) Reap The Whirlwind has 2 more frames of hit advantage

• Push Kick (Away + Front Kick) now causes 6 more frames of hit stun

I'm curious if this means Reiko gets a legit guessing game off of his dash now. He can either do the air command grab, knee, low or cancel.

You run the risk of eating a launching knee if you read air command grab and neutral duck. If you read knee or low and block, you risk eating an air command grab. However, as it should be in all cases when guessing is involved, EVERY FUCKING OPTION BESIDES THE CANCEL IS PUNISHABLE WHEN READ CORRECTLY. You can full combo punish a whiffed air command grab (it's fucking -51 for the running version or -54 for the regular air version) and a blocked knee/slide.

This must become the norm, god damn. The fact that it isn't is absurdly stupid. It only applies to Reiko due to happenstance because of what his follow-ups from his run cancel are.

His cancel on block doesn't seem to be really beneficial. Not once people get used to it, anyway. Nearly everything you can cancel on block is negative double digits. So it seems that using it on block isn't a good idea if you're playing against someone who knows what they're doing. They'll interrupt your shit all day.

12~run cancel = -16
21~run cancel = -15
44~run cancel = -14
34~run cancel = -8 (probably the hardest one to do anything about)
f12~run cancel = -17
434~run cancel = -18
s1~run cancel = -13
s2~run cancel = -14
s3~run cancel = -13
s4~run cancel = -14

With the new moves Im testing f12 into run cancel Ex grab , it works on hit and block!! . Also you can follow up the air grab with the new Stryker move for way more >40%dmg

They can still streamline the dash for easier play;

Dash command; he keeps running without having to hold the button until he goes to default attack (slide)

Dash command, then 1; jump grab
Dash command, then 2; cancel
Dash command, then 3; slide
Dash command, then 4; knee

Only thing he's now missing is an actual string mix for his 2,1,4; add F2 as an ender as well from his 2,1.

Takeda also needs his run streamlined and a new move added to it (air shuriken)

I'd definitely prefer face button presses over d-pad directional inputs for his dash specials, barring the command grab.

They did it with multiple characters in MK 11; they can do it in MK1 before support ends.

And fix the fucking shurikens. Grodd...

So it would seem Reiko gets a one bar mid command grab off of EX run into air command grab. Or am I mistaken? I set the CPU to neutral duck and I still catch 'em with it. It even does the 21% damage his two-bar command grabs do.
