You could make a new hitbox and use a common ground ps4 pcb or you could use the same ps4 pcb and piggy back it on the pcb already in your hitbox and have a dual mod hitbox that works on ps4 and whatever your hitbox works on now.

Yea @xQUANTUMx for now the 8 min timeout thing is easily thawarted by a 2 button press from what was said b4 so grab a ps360+ b4 everyone finds out lol and since they release firmware for them im sure a perma fix will get released. i cant wait to bust open my wwe brawl stick ...... and pop this in there.

So, how possible would it be to mod my current stick (a Qanba Q4) to be compatible with all 4 systems? It comes stock dual modded if that makes any difference.

The answer is to buy Croosbone PCB to have PS3, ps2, xbo360, xbox1 the only console left out would be ps4 , so buy a ps4 stick and modd it with the crossbone and a Chimp

That sounds better than my idea, but I don't know how to do it. Is there a tutorial somewhere you could link me to? Or is this just theory?

^^ I know that sounds rude for me to say and I apologise, I'm not trying to be. Just on an honest quest and want to know what I'm getting into.

The golden rule in dual modes is that the ground and power on one pcb needs to be connected to the ground and power on the other pcb. This link shows how a general dual mod is done. http://forums.shoryuken.com/discussion/91056/fight-stick-dual-mod-tutorial-for-all-levels

While some of this is true, some of your conclusions are false. They may release a firmware update, but this won't solve the problem because the issue is a hardware problem (lacking a bluetooth transmitter to transmit the security protocol because that is what the sony protocol calls for even on wired controllers). That will most likely be solved with an updated pcb and not a firmware update. So getting a ps360+ ( just for ps4 use) now is kind of a waste. Your better off dual modding it with the hori fight commander four.

Jesus man, this all so daunting. I think I'll just wait untill there's some sort of magic converter but in the meantime I'll deal with the 8 minute time out. I just can't wrap my head around all of the terminology and theory of it all right now.

You can buy an new brand ~ Brook Super Converter. The Super converters did not require the original controllers for verification on PS4/XBOX 360/XBOX One...
