Everyone who didn't receive a beta code will all be happy in like 2 weeks once the beta is over because then it will all be equal again and nobody can play anymore mwuhahaha.
But on the real, I wished they actually just kept it closed beta for employees or added in if you pre-ordered you get a beta code. Because making it a part open beta isn't very cool when only 8% of people who signed up got a code to get into got lucky enough from giveaways on Reddit, or from streamers.

At an event like combo breaker that happens right near release, having an edge will help. I'm not saying there is "no point" to travel, I would just feel better traveling considering the expense and knowledge/system comfort if you had more time. I don't think that's an unreasonable conclusion to come to honestly. You can still do well obviously though.
