Weird article title but this is a great read from Polygon. Basically, it talks about the development of Street Fighter 2 and its revisions and the types of thoughts and conversations that were going on around that time. The discussion on Rainbow Edition and boosting up the speed of SF2 in later revisions is quite fascinating.
Back when I used to write about games I always wanted to do something like this for Mortal Kombat. I think it would be an amazing retrospective, filled with tons of drama I'm sure.
