he may not be hard to pickup, but did he actually need nerfs? heck no. Didn't even win a major yet, won some egp tournies tho so i'll give him that, egp be going hard. But ppl just whined bcuz they were too lazy to learn the matchup vs him, smh. Look at the zoning of chars in other fighters, he is no where near that bad.

If Noob Saibot's pre-patch zoning was as good as Deathstroke's, and if far too many newer players played as him because of this- perhaps I would not be on this site now, enjoying the game.

This game has sold millions.
The other issue is this: his best move was nerfed REALLY hard, and chip was reduced.
But his Sword FLip is buffed now, yes?
Now the question: "Do you prefer steel or lead?" is actually relevant- because Deathstroke players will feel encouraged to use both steel and lead- rather than only choosing lead bullets, every single time, for almost every situation.
But now we get to learn who the real Deathstroke players are- and see which users of him runaway, as they only liked him for his crazy zoning playstyle.

it did, but nothing super significant, just now it is like plus 4 on hit, so that will actually help him set up something if he lands that. I'll say that I'm not going to go crazy about his nerfs because he can still play and do well in tournaments, and plus he has a plus 9 string and a plus 4 normal, also a solid 50/50 game so DS players should definitely still keep playing him. And idk about you, but kabal's and kenshi's zoning were more effective because they built meter quicker and were safer/faster.

DS was never really a pure zoner.... his zoning was so safe tho... that it didnt' make sense to not do it.
You are one of the few that actually doesn't care so much about what the character is "supposed" to be, but rather... what MIT makes him.

DS was never really a pure zoner.... his zoning was so safe tho... that it didnt' make sense to not do it.
You are one of the few that actually doesn't care so much about what the character is "supposed" to be, but rather... what MIT makes him.

Besides isn't it ironic for the one guy that constantly keeps Batman in line and is known throughout the DC universe as one of if not the best strategist, having made a military career out of using his superior brainpower to outthink and outmanoeuvre DC's finest to be as easy to pick up as doing the DF1,2 input. I mean this is the guy that took out half the core Justice League original 6 as well as some other heroes just by anticipating their every move and planning ahead in a matter of seconds. Having this sort of character play like Arnie in Commando is a sacrilege. At least that's my take. The nerfs weren't needed but he is now more in line with what the character should have been and probably what NRS had in mind when they designed him
