OXM Teases Killer Instinct Reboot in Next Issue

Some information and speculation seems to be brewing and the source of the location is http://forums.oxm.co.uk where apparently they're saying that the next issue of the "Official Xbox Magazine" will feature, "A World Exclusive: A Killer Sequel - Must-read Details on Truly Spectacular Reboot". Other information that now seems to be deleted(?) and/or may have leaked is something that was apparently written on a blog via "OXM", "The announcement of a killer sequel, the first must-see details on the return of a franchise really spectacular".

There are several sites that have some information all circling around the same thing really:

Does this mean the "classic" Killer Instinct is coming to XBL finally or could it mean a new game?

Don't forget, that GDC is next week. So, there is a high possibility of announcing it, than showcasing it at E3.

I'm gonna be livid if it is Xbox exclusive.
It says “Xbox 360 on fire: The four biggest exclusive franchises return”. Which 4 could they be?

Its not killer instinct, if it was, it would be MS exclusive, and if it was MS exclusive, xbox magazine would be sure to let you know in large print.

in the snes version the announcer's ULTRA echoes, in the arcade version he does say ULTRAAAA COMBOOOOOOOOO for the finisher...so you're both right lol

"killer sequel" "spectacular reboot" points to KI IMO.

"killer" is just another hyperbole term, it could refer to just a violent game, like just more info on the new upcoming hitman reboot.

I just think if it was KI, then they would put much more emphasis on the exclusiveness, because that's what official console mags do, wave there dicks around at who has the better upcoming exclusives.

That said, deep down, I hope its not, because that would mean Rareware is making it, and there a hallow shell of there former selves, and I don't trust them to make any kind of hardcore video game. KI360 would probably end up being a fucking kinect game. Though if someone competent was making it, I would be all for it, like if NRS somehow got the rights, which is actually possible now, since MS has been really loose with there old games recently, pimping out all of fasas old stuff, and now were getting a bunch of new Mech Warrior games and a Shadowrun game because of it.
