Out of curiosity, is anyone going to play the game for the storyline?

Nope. Only did Mk story for unlocking. If the game is even worth buying, I'll only fo what's necessary for the costume I want for my main.

I quite enjoy these newer story modes like MK9 and MK vs DC, the old ones which were like "hey you're going to a tournament" "you won, you are now the champion of mortal kombat" didn't quite do it for me. The MK deception one was kind of cool in an rpg way, I wouldn't mind seeing that style of a story in a future mk or dc type game.

I'm sure they are going to be dicks and make it to where you have to play story mode in order to unlock characters like they did with CSZ and Quan Chi anyways, so yeah I'm going to play the story. Plus, I am genuinely interested in the dictator Superman story.
