Hey dudes I want to pick up a new stick. I love having a bat. I was wondering if anyone who has stick experience can tell me if this is a good stick? I'll be using it for P4a, tekken, but mostly Injustice and mortal kombat 9.

Thanks homies. Any help is appreciated before I drop this money

Its a good stick, generally used for Tekken. You may be better off with a square gate tbh.
What kind of gate does it have? Octo? I am used to that with my PDP stick.

Can I mod this stick so I get a 4 gate but keep the bat?

Thanks mate!

Nah circular so not ideal for SF/P4 etc. really. You can completely mod the stick yeah but with that money you should probably order what you want. If you drop them an Email they may be able to mod it for you, though I think they ship straight from the factory so worth checking.

I could be misreading things but I do believe that the Qanba Q4 comes with an octo-gate by default so all you should need is the bat top for the stick.

I don't want to slam this stick as it looks pretty impressive, but for my money, there is no better stick than the Qanba Q4 and it's $30 cheaper than this one.

Qanba q4 has a square restrictor gate that allows for 8-way directions, but it's not a true octagonal gate. Also the gate that comes with the Q4 can be changes to be 4/8 way by opening it up and turning it, so if it's a diamond shape it's good for games like pac-man *up down left right*

Ok. I just saw Sanwa Denshi JLF-TP-8YT-SK in the description over on Canadian Joysticks and wasn't sure what it meant exactly. Thanks for the info :)

Thanks guys! Q4 does look great, but the stick is rather close to the buttons. I like a little space there as well, which the etokki Omni provides.... ugh hard decisions

Why don't you just get the Sanwa version of the Etokki then? Best of both worlds for you then.

The Sanwa buttons are much nicer than the Crown ones anyway.
Yeah I think that might be a good idea! Might you know how easy it would to swap a bat top to either the etokki stick or the Quanba?

I found this http://etokki.com/Arcade-Joysticks/Crown-CWL305-Green --- which is a bat with square actuator --- and of course these http://www.canadianjoysticks.com/sanwa-denshi-lb-30n-solid-colour-bat-top/ which I think I can just screw on in place of the ball top?

Thanks for the help mate!

I think with the latest revision of the Etokki they have made the mounting plate universal so it can take a number of different sticks.I know with the older ones the Sanwa mounting plates were totally different to the Fanta mounting plates.

The best option probably just to Email Ryan at the site and ask. He's pretty good an coming back to you on any questions.
