That fucking game alone was worth the Switch. Criminally underrated platformer, to me the best in the Donkey Kong series and probably top 3 of all platformers. This game is the shit and the music is perfect.
No doubt! The game didn't reinvent the wheel, you aren't going to play it be like, "wow, I've never seen a platformer do this before", but god damn... Such a well made game, one level is worth three from another game, god-like music, brilliant art direction, perfect cohesion. There's even co-op! The dev team should be proud.
The GOAT! Was just playing it last night as a matter of fact, showing my nephew how to get the Super Missiles early. But hey, Samus Returns was good! And there's some internet rumors about a Super Metroid remake for the Switch. Believe! Great music in this series though, Phendrana Drifts, the Brinstars, Ridley's theme. Like Donkey Kong, the series knows how to use music too, a lot of tone setting and pay off on sparingly-used heroic themes.
