I offered my services as a t.o and dedicated stream for MK. I accepted and when the contracts came through there was a 500$ invoice attached telling me if I didnt pay within 2 days that I would not be able to help. I felt that is was wrong for someone to be charged 500$ apparently so did a bunch of my locals. I spend thousands on equipment, software and traveling not asking for a penny in return just so MK can get what I feel the stream time it deserves. I dont understand why someone in my position should be paying to help not only with work load but getting the word out to get more attendees.

And for the record I never asked a single person not to attend. That was a decision they all made on their own.

Pay to help & work?? That's a new one, djeeze...
Good that you didn't do that, and threw it out here. Nobody ever should pay to work, especially if you have your own equipment!!

Not that it makes any sense whatsoever regardless for why you would have to pay. But just wondering.

He told me I would have to sign a contract for liability purposes due to the streaming.That part seemed normal and not out of question.He was very specific on what was to be said or not said on stream which I could understand.

It is to bad what happened. If I wasn't getting surgery that week I would have pulled my name from the tourny. Showdown Tournaments did have a few fighters that were going to be playing MK at NCR and helping Farmer run the tourny. I heard about what happened in my hospital bed and was pissed off. ST pulled the remaining entries from MK and wrote a letter of disgust to Terry. ST fully supports the MK community and we were not happy about what happen to Farmer.
