x ray is a great aa to trade with if you're ever in that situation. lol
The command grab comboing on hit with a bar is a big change in my opinion as it gives a lot more life to Back 3 than it originally had plus being able to combo on hit from forward 3 etc gives us some solid unbreakable damage nearing almost 30%.Nothing of note has really changed with Goro except walk/runspeed and Kuatan Warrior being made irrelevant with the overall OTG adjustments.
Honestly, that's the only thing that disappoints me with the character. I'd love to dig into him again but it feels like, well, everything's been found. :/
Off what? It doesn't combo for me off of anything other than what it has always combo'd off of in the corner. Back 1 might always have and is very inconsistent. Forward 3 and standing 3 into low fireball have 100% for sure always combo'd in the corner and mid screen before XL. A lot of stuff just downright whiffs still.Only real change is low fireball metereless combos in the corner. Or was that always there and we didn't know?
All good Espio I'm just a tigrar scrub it seems haha, I didn't realise you could do that before haha. What do you do midscreen? d1xxSG or d4xxpw or something?Off what? After the XL patch you can now run up, run cancel into back 1,2 up 2, standing 4, shokan grab for 31%.What are your go to combos from an far EX low fireball?
Thanks so much .this really is maybe the best guide on this site. Nice work man
Dragon Fangs just decisively took the number one spot. It was debatable before, but now it is clear.Yo @Espio do you think Tigrar is definitely his best now or is he still equal with DF?
Your insight is always delightful to read Espio. Thank you for the response!Dragon Fangs just decisively took the number one spot. It was debatable before, but now it is clear.
Dragon Fangs has a really fast fireball so now he can compete at multiple ranges very well and compliment his telestomp game with it. Regular fireball and ex fireball function as true blockstrings off forward 2,1 and 2,1 among others while being able to be plus 10 for a bar. The better range, better mix ups have always been a thing, but then you factor in the better armored attacks Dragon Fangs Goro has as a whole since ex punch walk is now unsafe, Dragon Fangs has a +7 two hit armor move while Tigrar Fury has ex flame breath, which is still questionable and nowhere near as versatile or useful as fang stab is as a move.
Dragon Fangs just outclasses it in every relevant way including damage. This patch took away the real advantage Tigrar Fury had over Dragon Fangs.
Making fireballs mid on ex was a great edition, but then they went and made Dragon Fangs so well rounded and complete that it doesn't really matter much.
The new order in my opinion is outright: Dragon Fangs > Tigrar Fury>>>>>>>>>Kuatan Warrior(just a potato variation).
Tigrar is still worth using though, but when Dragon Fangs has all this brilliant utility it's hard to justify.
So for zoning there is no real advantage but what about the meterless plus frames? I feel the low fireballs are too slow to do in the neutral. Is f2 low fireball a mix up or just pseudo?Dragon Fangs just decisively took the number one spot. It was debatable before, but now it is clear.

I mean, you might catch people but it's not like it's something you're gonna do often. So for zoning there is no real advantage but what about the meterless plus frames? I feel the low fireballs are too slow to do in the neutral. Is f2 low fireball a mix up or just pseudo?
