Nintendo - worst company to support right now?

So, recently I have heard that Injustice players on the WiiU will be getting DLC and skins much, much later than PS3 and Xbox players. Around summer time. Right there, less and less incentive to get a WiiU, especially to play Injustice. - http://www.gamespot.com/news/injustice-gods-among-us-dlc-wont-hit-wii-u-until-summer-6408141

EA has recently announced that they won't be developing any games for the WiiU anytime soon. So, no Battlefield 4 for the hardcore shooting demographic of gamers. - http://www.gamespot.com/news/ea-not-developing-anything-for-wii-u-6408481

Cancelling their E3 press conference, and sticking strictly to Nintendo Direct to get the information out on their product. Yeah, you expect me to be interested in your console through Nintendo Direct? Only Nintendo fans watch that. In the Nintendo fans minds, that is the go to console. But to everyone else? At E3, where you can showcase your console and tell us why we should get it, you choose not to? Fail Nintendo.

Definitely recommend you watch this video on the matter.

And now, the creme de la creme. Screwing over the YouTube Let's Play community. Take a look.

Thoughts on all of this?

Nintendo has a 3D main series Pokémon game releasing for the 3DS in October. Auto-best gaming company in 5 months.

That aside, methinks Nintendo is going to die relatively soon, sadly. Their ideas are pretty neat, but their consoles are just gimmicks that started after Gamecube was a relative flop console for them, even though IMO it's probably among their top 5 consoles of all time.

Nah they won't die if anything they'll go handheld only.

i like nintendo and actually loved the gamecube, but their decisions do puzzle me. if they quit the console business, i'm sure they will still develop games. and yeah, probably stick with portable gaming.

Don't forget that the Wii sold the best out of this gen. By kind of a lot. Nintendo might not be as popular in America, but remember there is a whole world out there. They aren't going anywhere.

Which is suicide. Smartphones have yet to become ubiquitous in Japan, but they are becoming the handheld gaming device of choice in every other major market. Nintendo's stubbornness to embrace this platform will eventually bring them down.

Everyone realized the Wii was a dud when good games stopped coming out for the console. By then, though, the damage was done.

People wised up to Nintendo, though, with the WiiU.

i agree. it started off with some amazing games, but soon thereafter devolved into a super-casual gamer circle-jerk of shovelware...sad. going down the same path as sega...

The problem with Nintendo is that it seems like they don't truly understand what their fans want, either that or they don't seem to care.

I hate to say it, but I think a lot of the decision-makers at Nintendo need to be fired and they need to get some new blood in there.

I think it is very obvious how they could've dominated this generation in the console market, they just continue to assume that they are somehow able to cater to an audience that doesn't exist.

I feel like the Wii-U is going to be such a failure that they almost literally need to rebrand/relaunch a legitimate system, have a strong software line-up out the gate, and meet developer and consumer demand.

They are going to get crushed this generation in the console market.

The 3DS is picking up in sales, but I can't imagine it will be anywhere near as successful as the DS was.

Nintendo has some of the best gaming Franchises at their disposal, they just refuse to evolve. It's almost like they are intentionally being ignorant or stubborn.

Nintendo has made this fanboy very very sad in the last couple years :(
Me to man, me to.

I don't think anyone wants to see them fail. It's just literally gotten to a point where it has become so incredibly frustrating that they can't seem to put together a legitimate gameplan, when the blueprint is right in front of their noses.

The people running the company must not actually be fans of what the company is capable of, otherwise I would imagine it would be so obvious to them.

I seriously wish I had an opportunity to provide feedback, help them work on ideas or something, I don't know. It's killing me man.

Why haven't they made a legit Pokemon game for consoles yet? I don't mean Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Bullshit, a legit high definition Pokemon RPG that has the same elements of handheld pokemon, just better with better graphics? Seems like a no brainer, so there has to be a good reason why they haven't done it yet. I would even buy a WiiU only to play it, been wanting one since R/B/Y lol.

You give me hundreds of hours of gameplay and exploration on a Pokemon game, where I can use the Nintendo online network to battle my friends, all on the WiiU?

You got yourself a sale, mate.

You being a fanboy, exactly what is it that Nintendo has done that disappointed you the most?
For starters I would love them to give me a reason to by a WiiU, it's the first Nintendo console I didn't run out and buy on day one since SNES, cause i was too young to to that back then, but since N64 I've been there Day one for everything, because it was always worth it.

I would like to see them embrace online gaming more because there is no goddamn reason there shit shouldn't be focused on that with most of there games being multiplayer "family" focused.

I would like to see them help other companys develop for there hardware in the way they do, they always seem to know a little more about shit when making their own games so they are always AAA.

There was really no reason for them to release the Wii U as early as they did, they should have beefed that bitch up more, and made it so it supports 4 tablets, because how fun is it to sit there and multi play game with the old Wii motes while the one dude gets the dope new tablet.

They have the best franchises in the industry and they are being wasted right now. I'm almost at the point that I would like to see them just develop games for other systems like Sega, but keep there handheld division.

I think the gaming world has pasted them by and they just don't care.

GIMMIE HD Zelda, that shit should have been a launch title.

They need to stop worrying about re releasing the old games that made thier systems great and get to making new shit.

But if it was one be all end all thing, it would be for them to step into this century with their online multilayer capabilities, it's almost inexcusable at this point.

It really baffles me that Nintendo make such stupid marketing decisions. I think they will end up just making handheld content within a year's time. I mean, they pretty much already are. Its a shame.....
