Wow! Scorpion's combos look so sick. He also looks so fast. Sub Zero looks awesome as well. It's really great seeing the new characters land combos as well. Kodal kahn looks intimidating as f. Lol

Speaker 1: friendly guys beating up each other... the new mkx was shown at e3
Speaker 2: i was able to see some gameplay and sadly gotta say im a bit disappointed. i hoped for a bit more but this seems like a mix between the predecessor and injustice.
Speaker 1: so game mechanics are more old-school, kinda fast but not as tactical
Speaker 2: exactly. i couldnt play but all the stiff Combos as seen, background elements you can use as weapon or swing from branch to branch, thats all stuff thats in injustice and pro players wont like it

Speaker 2: not really. you can pick from three fighting styles before a fight now. so you can use one move against a certain opponent while against another a differnet style is better. but its sad you cant change it during the fight but only before

MORE IMPORTANTLY though, is that Steve Blum voicing Sub-Zero? That's awesome.

Why can't more gameplay video's have this level of skill? That scorpion combo into actual pressure was awesome to see for anyone who actually appriciates fighters, and god knows even casuals probably find that to be cool. Khan having mid combo totems strikes me as an extremely good sign for that style(as out of combo only moves tend to have issues...see Lex). I really hope we can get more footage, and a good example of a run combo would be amazing.

Calling it now...every character in this game will be tournament viable.

I know this is an obvious stretch.....but I just can't see any ONE character shutting down another character's THREE variations.

That would take a horrendous kind of bad luck.
That actually only means that at least 1/3 of the roster will be tournament viable unless there'll be heavy counterpick meta :p

exactly my point, in the video scorpion cleary does a d3,d4 into his trait hell fire thing then combos, that shit was hella quick. with the way the movement is in this game i will be very surpised to see -on block pokes again, but if it is the same with MK9 and - on block pokes and their is counter poking then its just more depth tbh. now that you can't dash cancel, having + frame pokes makes more sense unless you run cancel, because in MK9 if you have a d1 that wasn't - on block you could just poke infinite because of dash canceling. anyway INJ haters prepare yourselves.
I have another video where ppl keep getting hit by D4 into specials and D4 into interactable, it doesn't count in the damage counter unless the opponent is air bone, so i say it doesn't connect

Its confirmed that all characters have NJP now, scorp can even NJP with his sword, and it seems his up slash is a command normal.

Combos into hell ball doesn't seem linkable, it would be a huge reset if that happened.

The juggle restrition still is 6 airbone hits, but the lenience looks better tho.

As i said before, if Scorpion perform his teleport from the ground it comes with a roundhouse kick, ex tele gains a tricking move (moon kick)
from air it comes with the tradictional punch, ex tele gains a flaming uppercut.

Confirmed that you can NJP after a ex tele midscreen.

everyone keeps talking about how good sub-zero will be, i'm still talking about scorpion.

(Cryomancer) Sub-Zero has an ex Riggid Hammer, which pops up characters in the air without using his inicial freeze move to start a combo, which means that this sub might be the one with the most combo potentials since he has a special launcher

Hm, after seeing another video (I think it was from Boon's interview for Machinima) I was under impression that said upslash is either part of 2-hit string starting with some kick, or a special launcher.

there is one with a string and there is also a launcher (upslash) command normal.
I will save the shots, now i have more info for (Ninjutsu) Scorpion

Ninjutsu and Crymancer are looking to be for the more combo heavy type of players. I like it. Both have pop-ups so juggling will play a large factor.

Each character is going to have something for everyone.

In MK, you know D1 or D3 or D4~Special DOESN'T combo. However, if you look real close ( :46 mark to be exact )...

Not sure if it was a combo, or the demonstrator simply didnt block, but that was Scorpion doing D1~EX Spear

I don't think the guys playing in most of the in game footage realize that. They keep using it in extremely close quarters lol. As far as I know, I don't think footage of that parry being properly executed exists! Haha.
I belive I saw it being used once, it works like WW's bracelets in injustice

The game disturbs them haha too violent, another MK banned from Germany. Sucks for the hardcore German fans though.

Scorpion will have tons of juggles I can tell lol.
No, you couldn't trade in MK9. One players move would always beat out the others despite being pressed at the same time. It was one of my biggest gripes and I'm super happy they've incorporated legit hit trades now.

That's about right.
The game looks quicker than Injustice, which is a good thing and I absolutely love that the camera is closer to the characters. Looks like they've combined everything that was great about MK9 and IGAU and improved upon those mechanics. It's the MK9/IGAU super child.
