I agree, they should spend more time on making better faces and bodies than spend time on fatalities.
Speaker 1: friendly guys beating up each other... the new mkx was shown at e3
Speaker 2: i was able to see some gameplay and sadly gotta say im a bit disappointed. i hoped for a bit more but this seems like a mix between the predecessor and injustice.
Speaker 1: so game mechanics are more old-school, kinda fast but not as tactical
Speaker 2: exactly. i couldnt play but all the stiff Combos as seen, background elements you can use as weapon or swing from branch to branch, thats all stuff thats in injustice and pro players wont like it
Speaker 1: are there relevant new gameplay elements?
Speaker 2: not really. you can pick from three fighting styles before a fight now. so you can use one move against a certain opponent while against another a differnet style is better. but its sad you cant change it during the fight but only before
Speaker 1: so you cant change it on the fly?
Speaker 2: exactly. that wouldve had more style but probably NRS thinks thats too much work again
Speaker 1: graphics wise its ok but not stunning, judging by the fact its supposed to be next gen. Backgrounds are quite nice but of course kinda artificial again. and of course, as usual in mk...
Speaker 2: sigh...
Speaker 1: ...disgusting stuff. the americans of course are happy about it, it belongs there, the finishing moves. whoever needs it, i think its unnecessary, and pretty disgunsting most of the time
Speaker 2: you look at it 2 times, like it and thats it. the americans went pretty crazy during the presentation... but no.
Speaker 1: we europeans dont think thats ok (<-with kinda ironic voice) and close with the words: meh, its a mortal kombat, kinda entertaining for beat em up-fans, a bit of button mashing, but not more
speaker2: exactly. lets see
but it makes it more likelyWhere you getting that from just because he can leave him standing doesn't mean he has a full 50/50 vortex
i think thats a projectile parryAnd I see him throw up this spirally shield, is that a parry or a charge of some sort? Because if it is a parry its sure as shit short on active frames, and if its a charge, the player isn't using it right lol.
That actually only means that at least 1/3 of the roster will be tournament viable unless there'll be heavy counterpick metaCalling it now...every character in this game will be tournament viable.
I know this is an obvious stretch.....but I just can't see any ONE character shutting down another character's THREE variations.
That would take a horrendous kind of bad luck.
I have another video where ppl keep getting hit by D4 into specials and D4 into interactable, it doesn't count in the damage counter unless the opponent is air bone, so i say it doesn't connectexactly my point, in the video scorpion cleary does a d3,d4 into his trait hell fire thing then combos, that shit was hella quick. with the way the movement is in this game i will be very surpised to see -on block pokes again, but if it is the same with MK9 and - on block pokes and their is counter poking then its just more depth tbh. now that you can't dash cancel, having + frame pokes makes more sense unless you run cancel, because in MK9 if you have a d1 that wasn't - on block you could just poke infinite because of dash canceling. anyway INJ haters prepare yourselves.
Hm, after seeing another video (I think it was from Boon's interview for Machinima) I was under impression that said upslash is either part of 2-hit string starting with some kick, or a special launcher. Its confirmed that all characters have NJP now, scorp can even NJP with his sword, and it seems his up slash is a command normal.
there is one with a string and there is also a launcher (upslash) command normal.Hm, after seeing another video (I think it was from Boon's interview for Machinima) I was under impression that said upslash is either part of 2-hit string starting with some kick, or a special launcher.
I don't think the guys playing in most of the in game footage realize that. They keep using it in extremely close quarters lol. As far as I know, I don't think footage of that parry being properly executed exists! Haha.i think thats a projectile parry
noIn MK, you know D1 or D3 or D4~Special DOESN'T combo. However, if you look real close ( :46 mark to be exact )...
Not sure if it was a combo, or the demonstrator simply didnt block, but that was Scorpion doing D1~EX Spear
Injustice? Again?
I belive I saw it being used once, it works like WW's bracelets in injusticeI don't think the guys playing in most of the in game footage realize that. They keep using it in extremely close quarters lol. As far as I know, I don't think footage of that parry being properly executed exists! Haha.
No, you couldn't trade in MK9. One players move would always beat out the others despite being pressed at the same time. It was one of my biggest gripes and I'm super happy they've incorporated legit hit trades now.5Ermac's, dude you could always trade in MK man lol.
LOL @ "the bit of a button masher" part, well...they are PC guys so to be expected
The game disturbs them haha too violent, another MK banned from Germany. Sucks for the hardcore German fans though.
Scorpion will have tons of juggles I can tell lol.
yeah that is, and Travis Willingham as Scorpion I think
These two clearly don't know jack about fighting games.
MORE IMPORTANTLY though, is that Steve Blum voicing Sub-Zero? That's awesome.
