Batman is immortal in the comics ^, then again everyone is...he's died and come back, been vaped into other dimensions by Darkseid and come back...lol
Comics while cool, are really even more ridiculous and stupid at times with plot lines then movies and video games. It's like "here's the unlimited canvas, we can do anything once we run out of ideas" lol that's what comics are.
But yeah, Bruce did come back later on once his back was repaired. I can see him injured but if they actually kill Batman/Bruce, that would suck.
I won't be suprised either if Blake(the cop) turns out to be Tim Drake or Jason Todd someone and don the Batman suit as there were quite a few Batmans in the comics.
