I came here to hate on Raiden, but I stayed for the Scropion/sub rants. Hopefully the "I dun rike sub" story arc will finish in MKX.

Everytime they try to give Raiden a personality they just fail imo. And when he goes all evil he is about as scary as a evil Mr. Rodgers. That said, Liu is even more lame to me. I guess in a game like this it is hard to be "good" and not lame.

Not surprised with tym hating on Jax. Tbh, Jax is a character made for Alpha Males, that's why ppl like CDj, Tyrant, Jupiter, Forever king, Sexyboi Erick warda and etc liked him, cause they are Alpha dudes themselves irl. Their handsome and get bitches so they can relate with Jax, unfortunately, majority of the community on tym/tournament scene are beta's. They're the type who like wafiu's, being edgy, and are mostly likely cucks irl so they can't understand the attraction with a black, manly, high test male of a char like Jax.

The only exception to this is Foxy, he has some racial issues that he has been projecting onto Jax for years.

So true jax is my favorite character. Umk3 he's an absolute beast. Its rare to find a great playable jax and I've seen in the comments with my match vs Your Mk Arcade Source its very rare to find a beast jax. JAX RULES!!!!! now robot smoke I hate to death

I found several characters weren't cocky/arrogant, but rather made "younger" and certainly more immature.

- Kitana
- Mileena
- Kabal

Those are the five that really come to mind. with the shaolin boys being the most notable. I think the first three first appeared that way in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, but sadly I missed out on playing that one so don't know for sure.

I think that's when Kitana first appeared as what people seem to now call "spoiled", Lao first appeared to be the "angry" and "rebellious" shaolin and Kang the "blindly following Raiden" and "overconfident" shaolin.
Actually the thing that MK9 changed the most (especially if you take into consideration the movie/series adaptation of the character) to the worse was Raiden's personality.
