Mortal Kombat 1-3 Remaster cancelled

I was thinking about posting this yesterday, but I wasn't sure, if it was 2 years old content or not. If it is, then ignore it... If it's something new and unfortunate, then join me, so that we can cry a river together.

It looks like Blind Squirrel Games were working on the Remastered version of Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and 3. They had also teased that a while ago, when they said they were remastering a trilogy of old fighting games. That has now been cancelled. Which is extra unfortunate, because they already had first, fully fleshed out concept art. And I have to say, it looked really good. Clean art style.

People can actually play the MK1 HD remake, which is pretty cool. But yeah, it was canceled like 3 times so far? That's insane, I would have gotten this in a second.

Because just drawing a bunch of screen shots and remaking old characters in mugen doesn't just get a hundred thousand dollar project green lit.
