I'll just say this, the experience I've gotten in Montreal and Toronto fighting players from all over the place made me a much better player. I had to travel sure, do I regret it? Not at all, in fact I enjoyed traveling and had the chance to meet incredible people. I look forward EVO to be the most intense 5 days of my MK9 career. I'll be able to say "I was there and had a fucking blast" I don't even care about the outcome. The reason I play is because I have fun and enjoy seeing myself level up, even if it's from last to second to last to me thats still progress.

the mtl scene is nice and well organize thx to zaf jer and leo
i was talking to competitive level. you guys all my respect.for this. the problem is the lack of skilled players. the ranbats is a good idea and fun to watch. i bitch no one here. just saying as a competiive level mtl scene is weak because : lack of players
online sonmtl is all about ssf4 pretty much. gl in futur i wish best of luck for.evo top 16 will be awesome

It's true there are match ups I have no idea whats over how they work since I rarely ever play agaisnt the character (Skarlet, Stryker, Noob, Kano, Scorpion...) in those match ups all I can hope for is my basic game to be good and adjust it on the run.

But Quito tbh if maybe you actually came out to weeklies you'd understand that we play more characters than you think... C-Sword has a good Smoke, Lolforo BODIES me with Sonya (tho I haven't played him in a month :( ) Quantum's friend is a Kitana/Reptile. Jedah and T.Roll both play Kabal. I'm probably gonna put serious time into Kung Lao/Sektor/Skarlet (I wish Kano wasn't ass since he'd have been front line center on that list). Also T.Roll's Sheeva... GOOOOOD DAYYYYUMM!!! Sure the side characters we pick up are not gonna be as good as our mains (hence side characters) but, we're only so many people.

But with everything I just added aside... An 8 man scene playing 9 characters doesn't sound that bad... I mean we'd have more variety if I dunno more people showed up on the weeklies... Like a certain person... Whose name starts with a Q and rhymes with Buito? Just sayin'

Lol no problem... We'll play more and I'll show you more pointers... To the point where all my Sindel shenanigans don't work anymore and I'll wonder why I never win :p

Also is anyone going to Foonzo tomorrow?

First of all : months ago was no MTL scene at all.... Lolingoctopus join the forum and start talking whith xaf and jer
Right now : they bring the scene to the best : like 8~10 players each week.
In the past the scene was dead so kudos to those 3 guys
The ranbats are fun no doubt about that. The main problem is the level of play.
I explain this : Zaf and Jer play 2 mid tier, Ermac and Mileena, Prob the top 3 in canada even us for both.
Theses guys do like 15 majors a year and training each other. Lest call him A Tier of MTL
So we have Zaf and Jer : A tier
jedath between :A and B depend if he play or not
and the rest : B (leo can do good mathcs, charlieonline too)

The gab between Zaf,Jer vs the rest is so huge
Here my point. Ranbars are fun to play and lvl up but the real fact : no way we can be at Jer and Zaf level
Yes you can level up because Zaf and Jer teach us verry well. But it will be difficult to reach the level of play of him
You guys can reach the level of play if you play and play and play
Those 2 guys are exepction between us..



MTL scene is fucking awesome.
Cant wait to the next ranbats i will show you my secret character. I will still play this game beacause its fun

The main thing is if you have the attitude that were so far ahead of you guys, that's not the case.

I'm seeing people get closer to Zaf and I every week, we've just been playing since release and travelling that's why it seems as though were better.

Also, just because we don't play S/A tier characters doesn't mean much, although I'm currently using an A tier character.

The more people come out, the better everyone will get. I find a lot of people don't ask to get casuals with Zaf and I for whatever reason, when were always down(at the weeklies).

A huge gap would be baby after baby after baby after baby.... (after baby...) like we saw back in February/March. For this seasons of ranbats I'm expecting some of the best matches the mtl scene has to offer. I promise you this, during ranbats I don't play for fun, I'll play to win. Casuals are a whole story but expect some huge bullshit from me from now on. No more Jade during tournaments, no more "lemme try this shit to see if it really sucks". Just pure results and every time the results is not what I want I will go back to the lab to make sure it won't happen twice.
