Montreal 2012 Thread

Hey guys,

Going to start a 2012 Montreal MK Thread.
With a new year, why not start a new thread. (3 months late)
We are going to be advertising ourselves more and really push for a stronger community.
Whether this is getting more people to come out/hosting more events, or even getting new faces to appear.

We have recording equipment for the stream we will be running. This will allow ourselves to get known on a bigger scale and get some attention directed at Canada.
We have a settled spot at Foonzo on sundays.
(For any information regarding our Weeklies, feel free to PM Jer or zaf .)

We need to have the first post, to be able to make updates, so this is another reason for creating the new Montreal Thread.

With all of this being said, we will turn our weeklies into Ranbats.
This should allow the new people to come and see results of themselves getting better.
We will be starting the ranbats as soon as the next weekly.
This basically means we are running small tournaments worth points, that gets turned into a ranking system. Want to see yourself out rank your buddy or just see overall improvement? Then start coming out to these. Doesn't matter who shows or not, come and prove yourself and get your points.

For any and all information MK Montreal ( or the mtl fgc in general), send jer or myself a PM.
We have a Montreal MK group on facebook. PM either of us if you want to be added.

Okay, so here's how the ranbats are going to work.

Were going to be doing this in seasons, each season is 8 weeks long (So 8 seperate tournaments) and each tournament will have a 5$ entry fee. Each week, depending on the amount of players there will be points given out, these points will be distributed in a decreasing amount of 3's. So for example, if we have a 10 person tournament, the points will be 10, 7, 4, 1, and if we have more it will be divided evenly.

You can also lose points as well. Let's say for example Jer doesn't go to the next tournament, and 10 people show up, he will get +0 points. Now that there was 2 ranbats, he will get 10 divded by 2 which will be 5, so he'll be left with 5 points. (This is actually Jer writing this currently, so if I screw any of this up Zaf will fix it ;) )

At the end of the 8 weeks, all of the money gathered over the 8 weeks will be accumulated and distributed among the top point holders evenly, to get to a tournament or whatever you want with your money.

All ranbat results will be posted here and on the FB page. I will have PR in this post, with results in the third post.

Oh I know, every time I offline I feel like I level up faster. Priorities tho right? By the way nice showing at Toronto. I'm a sub player so believe me, I hate that fan throwing bitch :)

Does Foonzo have X-Box or PS3?
Do they have all the DLCs?
Do you guys mind that I take a few seconds to configure my controller before we play? The default settings do not work well on mine.
If enough people show up, are you interested in playing tag ladder (2 vs 2)? Screw Street Fighter X Tekken lol!
Last question, at what time?

Mmk C-sword here's the deal, we bring our own setups. Right now we run two ps3's and one 360. All DLC is unlocked(Except on the Foonzo PS3).

The controller thing you don't have to worry about, I play on a stick so I configure my stuff.

Try to be there for around 4-4:30.

Yup, Jer answered that accordingly.

If enough people show up, or even if they do not, we are running ranbats now.

I bring my xbox, so we can play on that as well. I have 2 converters so people can use ps2 pads.
I recently found that one of my front usb ports on the xbox is dead, this why the 2nd converter never worked. Need to use the back usb port.
