26 players for scv
contracts for fighters arena for both games (not just one)
MLG dropped scv 5 min after tourney was over
hence jeopardizing sponsor agreements
viewership cut in half because of scv dropping
time constraints
etc etc etc

MLG still sucks, I hate them sometimes, they use games and communities. They are full of politics. And it's not even because of MK, I've had a sour taste with them for the BS they put the Gears and Halo communities through, and IIRC they once had UFC as a legit game for competition, please. They just go with trends, if Starcraft and the PC MoBA died, MLG would go bankrupt.

Because as soon as Starcraft 2 released, they shat on the whole Halo community when Halo 2 and onward were the games that was making MLG stay afloat.

Also Karried is right about MLG, MK scene will get shat on soon enough, but its not like its totally unfair considering the rewards they also throw in, every game has its time. Especially if Halo, the game which pretty much MADE MLG got thrown out. Gears was never as significant, MK is probably less significant to MLG than Gears was too.

Team games bring in more players. Halo used to cap at 256 teams of 4, and usually IIRC it would meet the cap quite often too.

Don't be suprised if their next game is TTT2, but maybe that will last a bit longer because of the popularity it will recieve.
