Increase the speed on his Teleport and make it the BEST Teleport in the game (there's no reason why Cyblax should have a better tele).
I'm pretty sure Cyblax' teleport isn't invulnerable on startup. I agree that Raiden should be defined by his teleport though. Wouldn't mind more variances of it as well.
Superman should be cancelable (like why was is ok to Nomad Dash cancel or Ground Pound Cancel or etc etc and not let Raiden cancel a very very risky move)
You know man, just fuck meterless roman cancels at all. I have no bloody idea why whoever did it thought that it's a brilliant idea to allow them. You know the move, you know it's range, you know its recovery. You use it properly and commit or go home. It's ok to have 2-3 versions with different ranges and framedata if you wish it to be something akin to elbow dash (although as I've said, I personally would like to see Raiden spacing relying on teleport and conventional means more than on superman; but who knows, maybe NRS will decide that his flight should be expanded upon as well...). After all, it's that how footsies and spacing work?
3,3,4 and b312 shouldnt be so easily interuptable.
This is the part where I'll just repeat that MKX probably won't be MK 9.5. I'll just repost words of wisdom:
Your assuming the game will run on the same mechanics and previous moves or character styles will be relavent to the new engine.
That's the problem
I mean, MK changes considerably each release, and that's before considering IGAU to be "another MK, but with superheroes".
Anyways, what I really don't want is more bs like whiffing 2nd/3rd strikes in a string after landing hit with 1st/2nd. I know that experienced player can cancel into superman if striking at maximum range instead of inputting subsequent string normals, but I wonder if that was intentional. Same goes for gaps, but now that I think about it, @
Chaosphere provided a good idea that it allows you to punish interrupt attempts. Guess that's ok.
Well they knew you would either tele or finish the string so... I guess it became a guessing game. If you guess they are going to interrupt and you tele instead, you blow them up. But if they anticipate tele... you're fucked.
Probably having a true block string would help that if Raiden wants to avoid this guessing game. IIRC f24 works for that though.
And mine is that raidens design not just how he looks but also who he is, is lame as all fuck.
He's supposed to be the god of thunder yet he looks like a rice farmer with some static electricity.
Raiden is, perhaps, a character that changed the least from how he initially looked. While one must call him on being outdated, I believe that the reason is simple: his appearance just works. He doesn't look menacing normally, but he can be imposing if he wish. Unless he goes all-out Darth Raiden ofc. In fact, there's more similarities with his element than differences in his mettle.
