I feel like people automatically assume Outlaw is better than Marksmen because of what Sonicfox does with Outlaw. It's looking like he's having the same effect with Hunter Predator. It's a good assumption. Why would he use the lesser variation? Didn't he also use Pyro Tanya, too? Looks like he just uses what's fun to him.

these tiers are causing character fads though. influxes of Kung Lao and Predator...even Tremor have been happening lately. They don't even take the time to learn the characters for real..they just look up a combo video and learn the easiest hard hitting one to do...and once you take their 1 option away its a bad match full of desperation specials and desperation X-Rays. The match quality starts to fall, where more often than not you're seeing the same characters and the same gimmicks. Tiers are good for scaling characters, i dont think anything is wrong with tiers...i just don't like that people don't take it for what it is and just learn the character they like, and maybe pick up one of those as another for their lineup. just how i feel.

Wow Mileena is the only character (excluding Goro) that doesn't have a single variation in mid-tier or above. Is she really considered that bad?

I do not agree with hellfire and especially inferno being better than ninjitsu. If anything inferno should be on the low tier end.

Yeah well marksman could play mind games with its gun cancels apply pressure if you make them respect your other options and even extend combos , it also makes all your 50/50s safe if you gun cancel into block . Also excution isn't the first thing that comes into mind when you say a character is better or not anyone can have good excution the only problem is that you have to spend more time.

I don't disagree. I just think a lot of people form opinions based on Sonicfox rather than the attributes of the variations.

I would say Outlaw is just a hair better than Marksman. The NJP, more chip/damage, and armored launcher just make him a more complete character. Still both of the variations are S-Tier and are great, also Marksman is 100x more hype.

Middle eastern players bring beef to europe, europe gotta defend!
They were talking alot before, and lost, with just a solitary PND member to defend the turf.

Tekken master wasnt an underdog, he was just a middle eastern player, which I'm sure none of TYM follow, but after playing him I respect his skill, but dont fear it.

Dont forget I'm the most travelled MK player so far. I've played everybody (the best of each region) except the Aussies.
I have good reason to trust my judgement of skill from region to region.

Also, I don't wear my flag for a gimmick, I wear it for the UK, who I never want to let down.
Just as much as the Americans probably wouldnt have wanted me to win EVO, I'm sure the euros dont want a player from the Middle east to win on their turf.

Although, I'm sure the middle eastern players havent really had their chance, they need to send their army I guess. Isnt everyone from Saudi Arabia really rich, why dont you sponsor the entire ME scene?

Seriously though, every time xazeez makes a thread, he always plays up his boy tekken master. Which kinda sets him up for failure, if/when he doesnt win.

He also has no way to get around being heavily pressured, and hunter had unlockable set ups and if hunter gets you in the corner you are dead, I'm not saying hish isn't really really good, I'm just saying hunter is better

To be fair, thats predator in general when it comes to dealing with pressure, not just Hish qu Ten.

The level of execution needed forna certain character should never really be an argument as to why a character is better though.

Good list, although I'd argue Mileena's placement. Ravenous is a solid mid tier variation for her at the very least.

Assassin and Mournful for Kitana are both at least mid/high tier as well I would think.

piercing can't be low tier its gotta be mid to high mid...now etheral....thats low tier. the variation feels broken. ravenous is definitely high mid-tier.

Ethereal was shit but now after the buffs it is much better and may end up being her best. She can spend a bar for plus frames and safety which eliminates a lot of her holes in her offense. Pericing has a huge problem with f12 whiffing against half the cast and low sai can be jumped on reaction when used as a zoning tool.

If this was before Ethereal got the buffs, I'd agree. But as it stands now, Piercing is unreliable, the range is nice, but the F12 whiff kills it. Ethereal can actually make her safe on certain stuff, and she has one of the best wake-ups imo
