but we can't, cause no beta codesSo let me get this straight:
-NRS takes the unprecedented step of overhauling the game's entire networking engine, less than a year into the game's life, to the benefit of the fans
-NRS takes a (for them) unprecedented step of actually testing out their proposed changes with live gameplay, before they distribute them to the build that will affect tournaments and all future gameplay
.... people complain?
Shaking my head -- this are two major positives, not negatives; it's high time everyone stops complaining incessantly and just enjoys the game. Man, oh man.
I'm all about new netcode and I commend NRS for their efforts to resolve that matter. I still have problems with the introduction of game changing mechanics that not everyone has access to.So let me get this straight:

ExactlyI just personally believe that they went about it the wrong way and they are causing a divide within the community.
am the embodiment of scrub and Even I got a code lolI am mad because I didn't get a beta code.
Huge deal I understand and I am grateful for an updated netcode. I don't see why new mechanics were introduced other than to cause buzz to hold us over for a month. Thank you for being civil. With all due respect... you're fucking kidding, right?
NRS has done NOTHING BUT LISTEN to the community. Online has been by far their biggest struggle and their doing this to help. They've opened Beta forums on the official forums, etc.... it's a big deal to them and to us.
IMO your outlook on this is extremely foolish.
New mechanics and changes are necessary and they've learned from their mistakes as well. Meaning, they don't release patches/changes nearly as often. They're taking their time to listen to the community and make the appropriate changes.Huge deal I understand and I am grateful for an updated netcode. You are implying that the other companies focused on FGC aren't doing the same. Actually, it's not true, what is NRS doing is completely normal.
Yeah, they are changing a lot of stuff, but, they had too. SFV is going to be a major problem with their interests, a lot of people myself included may jump to the bandwagon on playnig the new Street fighter. But, lets be real, Capcom has doind the same, a lot of exhibition matches, ALPHA and BETA changes, they are luring us even more than NRS does.
Seeing this as a conspiration from NRS may be right, but, thats business. If they didn't try stuff like that well.. NRS could be already dead.
I wasn't being sarcastic. You were civil and I know that my opinion isn't fact. It's just how I feel. BTW I apologize for the language, but I actually found your accusation offensive. NRS is my heart... no other game has ever or will ever mean as much to me than NRS games.
Besides, these changes cost NOTHING... so, I understand your argument even less than I already did.
It feels good to get kinda back in the swing of things. I've missed TYM (was still around, of course... but you know). When I say I've missed TYM, that means you guys and gals. Without you, we're nothing.Sometimes i just miss STORMS front page, imagine everyone looking for news wondering which characters were added to the beta.
