Also, to the people who thought MK2 on PSN was bad before, this should make you realize how good it actually WAS.

It was basically P2P for god's sake. If it was a bad connection, it was for good reason. Stop downloading porn and wire up your fucking connection. No server's, only the players. And people bitched.

Wait, aren't there two leaderboards for each game? There's the points one too and afaik that goes by W/L, it just converts them to points. Speaking of which, I totally let this guy win just so I could do this: http://i55.tinypic.com/nehmdk.png

Not true. It goes by the ELO ranking system. The game tracks win streaks, but your ranking is not based on them.

My mistake. There's two leaderboards, streak leaderboard and Kombat Rating leaderboard. The Kombat Rating system is like the DS UMK.

It's still flawed tho, a semi decent player could just refuse to play any legit comp, and simply play scrubs and rank up that way.

For real, i could care less. The only thing i was hopin for was a spectate mode, get a few players in a room and just chill and play some ggs. Doesn't look like that is happenin

It seems it's bugged. I was ranking up in MK1 when winning in UMK3, then ranking up in UMK3 when winning in MK1. Think it has something to do with what Arcade Machine you have it on at the main menu...

Even still. Why would they continue to include "longest streak" like anyone gives a fuck about that? Everyone knows it will be FABRICATED by some NERD.

Poor, lame ass attempt at CASH by Ed Boon.

Like VA said I would have rather waited a year, hell even 5 years if I knew it was gonna be a better game, with better features and a TRUE HD make over. I would still be content.

But no. MK9 came out a couple months ago, gotta keep that money train flowing right ED BOON?

Seriously, how has his dumb fuckin ass not been fired a long time ago. Like scheisse once said, and I still quote, Ed Boon made the first MK games good on ACCIDENT.

All they had to do was listen to the fans, like Capcom did/does. Ed Boon just loves money people, soon you will learn.

MKAK: i am disappoint... were there really people stoked on being able to jump to the top of a broken leader board that is no where close to being a representative of skill? yawn.. yea backbones mk2 is looking like the bomb right now. wow.... like, for real, is this shit that hard??? someone was saying its just day 1 and to not give up. has anyone ever experienced a shitty game turning into good from patches?? yea me either.. i was so excited while waiting for this to download. can you imagine actually getting an arcade perfect port of these games with multiplayer?? maybe its a good thing it sucks because it would consume my life..

Edit- With all the complaints it's getting, I really am starting to think that the games are being emulated inside the Unreal Engine. I mean they have to add the 3D monitor curving somehow... and the symptoms are there. I honestly don't know who would use something so taxing for something that uses such little resources. This whole game is a headache. If this is true, it kind of is a sign of super lazy programming. Why waste time coding something when we can just throw it inside something else and let it do all the work?

The lag is so fucking unbearable online! Do the people who setup the servers not know how or do they just not care!?! Probably both!

i think they almost have to fix this lag, it's not like some guys lag with some guys, no, everyone lags terribly with everyone, and i don't see how this can be ignored, would it shock me if it weren't fixed? no it wouldn't. but my money says that they will.. unfortunately i don't see them adding spectator mode though and that was something i was really, really looking forward to

First he'd have to pay Nahid's ransom to finish the p2p client (or to use it at all). Mame wouldn't be hard though, since they've used mame drivers for ports in the past.

I'm pretty sure the MKII port is faster than arcade. It felt really fast unless I'm just used to the laggy online games and my MAME cab is fucked. Who knows, could be! I haven't touched the UMK3 part yet but the MK1 actually seems like a decent port. The online sucks beyond horribly but this is common knowledge. If I remember correctly you could do Lao's dive kick in MKII with either HK or LK but in this port it's HK only. I'll have to turn on the MAME cab and check it against that before I rush to judgement on that though.

I'm still hoping my ISPs upgrade on Friday to 24Mbps makes a good difference for me, let's see. On another note, I haven't played MK2 until yesterday in months. Like someone here said, maybe it's a good thing it sucks right now cause it would for sure put me back in MK2 online mode and training, thus wasting valuable time in my life that I should be investing on money making, haha.

I have no problem if someone uses one of my videos as long as they ask me first. This guy didn't even steal the whole video apparently, only the part where I said I liked MK1. Wtf? But I don't want to report him if it's one of us, that's why I'm asking.
