He then went on to say that it was just time to update his profile pic. Obviously Scorpion and Batman are the two most popular characters in both the series Boon's company makes so I'm going with false alarm.

Plus, everyone knows that their next game is gonna be that He-Man game

I'm surprised he said no for MK Vs. DC 2, Ed said in the past that him and the guys at NRS love to jump between MK and IJ, so I think for now they are not gonna go with MK Vs. DC 2 and stick to MK11 instead.

It was a good game indeed, it was the prototype for MK9 after all, among other things.

He could just be a fanboy of Scorpion and Batman lol. Scorp we already know, but he's also a comic fan too. I still think MK vs DC gets a bad rap, it was a fun game and I'd still consider it more competitive than the 3D MK's.

I'm thinking people who hate on it probably sucked in it or must hate comics honestly, there's far worse games out there. I mean let's be honest here, had a much better story and sold better than MVC game, MvC2 was broke af yet still popular. I think people just like to hate on MK or DC at times. I'd play it over say SF5, at least MKvsDC was completed lol.

@Roy Arkon @Jynks I agree, while it's not my preferred or fav MK game it's definitely nowhere NEAR as bad as people say it is. People forget they were going to patch Flash, Supes and add Harley and Quan Chi as DLC but Midway died already which was unfortunate.

I think this is a really bad case of hindsight bias.

MKvDC's entire story mode plot was driven by "rage"

The balance of the game was complete gutter trash.

The game was riddled with an absurd amount of glitches.

The online was so bad that the game actually became different.

MK vs DC's story while not perfect still better and made more sense than MVC's...as Shao Kahn and Darkseid merged manipulating everyone. The writers of MK, DC etc actually put effort. MVC3's story was junk, and that game also died pretty fast as I recall. I mean if we're going to hate on crossover games here...

Again, as are many fighters. Especially during that time period. Never played a fighting game online that didn't lag, slowdown or suffer frame issues at some point.

No fighting game is perfect regardless of how bad, mediocre or good it is.

Very true dude, I mean the only real compainet I can give is that the finishing moves, even the Fatalities for the MK chars, looked as if it wasn't for the rage they won't even think on doing them, unile in other MK games of course. I mean of course they didn't intendto deilver that massage but that's what it looked like. Other then that everything in the games was fine, or at least understandable (like some Fatalities had to be toned down for the T rating, what can you do). The story was good in general and the concpet of playing it from both the views of the MK and DC sides was unique and original, the roster was very good in terms of star power and good enough in quantity, the presentaion in general was very good (I loved Scorpion's char model in that game) and the gameplay mechanics were pretty interesting. Hell, even the combo practice mode that it had was acutally better then the one we go in MVC3 (a game that is supposed to be very competitive, minde you) 3 years later, as you didn't have to pause the game, check the inputs on a different menu and then memorize them. And also it had 3 different versions of the Arcade mode, in 2008, while games like Blazeblue Cross Tag Battle in 2018 don't have even one.

Overall MK Vs. DC Universe was a good game. Yes it wasn't as good as other MK games, but it's very underrated.

I legitimately think this was just a whatever move. The company that he runs works on a game featuring Scorpion and a game featuring Batman. That would be the strangest move in the history of strange moves to announce a game at SDCC over EVO, E3, IPS finals, Gamescon or any other thing going on. I'm not saying it wouldn't happen, but it just seems unlikely to me
