We are looking for volunteers to bring equipment and to help with stream commentary / brackets when necessary. Arcade Legacy has to close one hour earlier from now on due to a recent mall management decision, so we will need to be on top of things to make sure we don't overstay our welcome!

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered on the Facebook event page so far!

This post contains 4 important pieces of info regarding: Kung Lao, headphones, Dualshock 4s, and breaking through our entrant goal!

So I need to make a post about Kung Lao. I did not hear of any Kung Lao kontroversies at Combo Breaker based upon their ruling, so with their model proven in a much larger tournament environment, we will do the same. Just to recap:

Kung Lao will not be banned. His meter gain glitch, where a wakeup attack will grant him the abnormally large amount of one bar of meter, will be policed by myself and one other selected "referee". We will not allow the glitch to be abused, meaning exactly this: you may not use Kung Lao's meter gain glitch even once during a round, even if by accident. To do so will net you a warning. If you do it again in the same round, even by accident, you will forfeit the round just as if you had hit pause. So, yes, this means you get to use the glitch once for "free", per round. But use it again, and YOU will be free.

Now for some more lighthearted news. We are going to be able to split the headphone audio for the stream's head-to-head setup, so I encourage players to bring a pair of wired headphones for their personal use on the stream station! I know I will be doing so.

Next up, Dualshock 4 sync issues and interrupting games. We will follow this policy: first, at the end of your match, if you are using a DS4, turn off your controller. Please ensure that your opponent turns off their controller, if they are also using a DS4. Next, when you sit down for any match, please do the following:
Step 1: Visit 'Devices' in the PS4 Settings menu
Step 2: Go to 'Bluetooth Devices'
Step 3: Select the 'old' profile/controller and hit 'X'
Step 4: 'Delete' the controller from the PS4's memory
Follow these steps until only you and your opponent's devices remain paired to the PS4.

This should prevent unwanted interruptions. Refer to this post on TYM for more info: http://testyourmight.com/…/preventing-ps4-bluetooth-…/page-3

Lastly, please bring your MKX buddies to Brutality! Remember that our entrant goal for this event is 22 players! We can make that and go over, in my opinion, so go help get the word out : )
