Maximize damage during lock-out?

As the title says I was just wondering the best way to maximize damage during a lock-out. I'm under the impression that doing heavy doubles and light linkers until the lock-out ends is the best way, am I right?

Haha, thanks guys. I use Spinal and have been doing heavy doubles into light skeleport linker.
I normally do Heavy-Auto, Ghost Manual, light linker, Heavy auto, light linker, ender. The linker I normally do is the sword out of habit, but if the skeleport does more damage I might go to that instead.

Of course, it also depends when during the combo the lockout happens too whether or not the manual is worth it

Universally what i see most of the time is heavy auto doubles and a light damage linker. A good deal of the time if i'm feeling it and not about to have my KV meter blown out, i throw in a medium or heavy linker in the end to tack on a little more damage.

I started doing this about a month ago and it's great.

If you want to use a shadow move. Time it so that the lockout will end right on the 4th hit of your shadow move. Which makes the final hit and the ender unbreakable.
 
Well it seems as if there is no specific way to get max damage during lock-out then. It must be situational based on kv meter and such.

no manuals in lockouts, for risk of dropping anything.
guaranteed damage from:
heavy auto, light linker, heavy auto - ender
heavy auto, shadow linker, heavy auto - ender

PS: it's easy to fish for counter breakers after lockouts, as they would be itching to break your next auto double ... but you can go for guaranteed damage obviously and capitalize on the lockout.
