Well, if you didn't know by now, Microsoft has recently renewed the Killer Instinct trademark and in "many jurisdictions", which could mean several things. Maximilian talks about the news that broke on the Play Xbox Arcade website just days ago. He points out many possibilities with this news, how it was announced and what all it could mean. For one, it could mean a re-release of Killer Instinct 1&2 in an HD form on Xbox or it could mean what the entire fighting game community would awe and that is Killer Instinct 3.

Is Microsoft planning to re-release these games in HD form to gauge interest in a "KI3"?

If you made a list of your favorite fighting games of all time? Would you join Maximilian on this one?

Just a slightly above average player.....
Even if they bring out the old games in hd it would be a win win I really just liked that series as crazy as it was. Fulgore was and still is my favorite all time fighting game character.

Killer Instinct remain's the best fighting game.... made by people who have no idea how to make fighting games.

That said, I cannot deny Killer Instinct 3 as a launch title for the new xbox console would be a master stroke by Microsoft....

Although realistically I gather they will likely release and online edition of both game's on Xbox live to gauge interest.
