Yea tags work differently depending on which direction you're holding the pad/stick. Holding back or forward when you tag-in makes your character come in but don't do anything, it also travels further or less depending on if you're holding back or forward. Just tagging while on neutral your character comes in with a hit, kinda like to continue a combo, and it also travels the furthest.

That explains a lot. Gotta experiment to see how to tag in when I do aerial neutral combo. When I tried that as Ghost Rider, the assist did go way to the other side sometimes, or in front of the AI. Gotta prevent it from doing whatever it smokes.

I'd just be wary when doing harder challenges for characters like Doctor strange there will be a bit of emphasis of doing things in neutral or putting an input then resetting to neutral before going to the next input. Probably won't be a problem for you since you play GGxrd, but was something it took me a bit to get used to.

I'm sure you'll be able to figure out the challenges just fine.

I'm well aware of the hard challenges. They're a thing since Street Fighter X+ Alpha and the older GG.

I doubt I'll find any matches at this day. This game might be my starting one to get used for the future games.
