Actually, he's not. Ryu gets bodied easy! He's just too damn basic to stand against everybody else in this game. Then again, I just got out of Beginners League, so we shall see if the meta shifts.
REALLY? I haven't come across a Sigma yet. Came across a Panther, but he's whack. Now, somebody did surprise me with Thor with this spam loop he does. He throws the hammer, boomerangs back to hit, launches in the air, loops this thunder charge move he does, then storm super. It beat my team ONCE, then I caught on bested that team out of 3. One thing I've learned Haggar, he can TREMENDOUSLY make a comeback
I kinda figured. Isn't he the only character that can't mix you up with an overhead? Does capcom not want people to pick ryu anymore lol.
NOOOOO! THAT'S THE THING! That overhead does shit! You cant mixup with that move at all which is GARBAGE! The only thing I can think of is just getting the overhead hit, then tag your partner for a combo. But yeah, Ryu....is just very basic in this game.
Captain Marvel is a good character. She's not insanely good, but shes solid. She's a flight character, so she can wave dash like crazy, and perform those crazy stair-step combos. I don't see many people use her, but she's worth trying out at least.

It's definitely fast paced! So precision is key! Its more button inputs than directional inputs to make combos work, unless you're doing that staircase combo thingy that i just cant get down lol. You can tag your partner whenever your heart desires, which can cause an infinite amount of crossups and combos that you can create. It's all about synergy of your team, how they work together, how their moves flow to create damage, etc etc. AND not to mention the Infinite Stone selection plays a big part in your team as well. There's also alot of hidden mechanics to the game that can be learned through vids on youtube. There's plenty of tutorials. I think i've posted one on this thread as well.
Ultron and Rocket seems like a really good team. You got a character with mad set-ups and you got another character with mad rush down game! I can see ALOT of mad switches with this team!

I was really deciding for Ryu and someone else, I don't really care about tiers that much, my skill ceiling is very low I assure you, I just main whoever I like, I main Ryu in SFV and he's anything but top tier, I knew of ryu's low tier day 3 of MVCI coming out, so that's not the factor in any way. If that was the case id just main Dante/Dorm. Ive been telling people I'm interested in mind stone no matter how weak people think it is. But I don't want to main a sfv character in mvci, I want to main a character I've never played playstyle wise, also a flight character, as I've never had that experience. That was the deciding factor.

RIGHT!? Im just real salty about the Reality Stone nerf, Time Infinite Storm, and Chris being buffed to high hell.
Honestly, when it comes to MVC series, the broken shit makes the game fun! ITS KNOWN FOR BEING BROKEN! But i do have to agree with some of these changes like Domamu i dont even play and HATE his thorns, cross up decreased on Ultron is dope since i dont use, made Dante into a little bitch now after this patch. They nerfed EEEEEVERYTHANG hahaha. If they needed to buff somebody, they should have buffed Black Panther, because he sucks ass. His attacks barely do anything, and it takes work to hit ppl with.A lot less braindead going on in these patch notes. Shame I'm going to have to learn to git gud instead of using my reality stone crutch
