I really like Thor in this game, but I hear that he is crap tier. Still trying to find another character that goes well together with him.

Any character that allows him to get in easy. So Gamora, Dorm, Jedah, etc.

THOR isnt crap tier, he just isnt broken tier... ie gamora, jeddah, ultron. But he is more than capable of being as good as everyone else.

Just gotta use his mobility and his jump in df1 or df2 (forget the name, the one you can throw your Hammer from) to protect yourself and get in for free and use his mixup of attack attack d4 then df 1. Goes from low to overhead then tag for combo.

He's really good. Wanted to use him with Hulk, but hulk just isnt too good and doesnt complement him. Using Dante now, but going to try out Thanos.

So Dantes stinger hits overhead if you cancel it out of cr lp. It also seems to be overhead sometimes if canceled from st hp. Needs to be fixed asap.

I haven't even started story mode, lol. I want to get all the stages, but I don't want to have to sit through it all. I played the story mode demo when the game was coming out, and I couldn't even finish that without skipping the cutscenes. It's super cheezy, it's animated poorly, the voice acting is awful, but the worst thing about it is that it was boring.

I'm thinking about starting the story mode but just skipping the cutscenes like I did in the demo. If I couldn't handle a 15 minute demo, there is no way I can handle the 3+ hours in the actual game. I pretty much know what's going to happen anyway, I guess.

I just finished story mode last night and yea, its super bad lol. But its def good to get the stages.

Played a lil online last night and i think i found a strange, yet effective team.

Haven't got as much practice recently, but still trying to refine my Morrigan/Thanos team here and there.

I've been trying to get through the mission mode for all characters and its ridiculous how much it varies in difficulty per character. X and Arthur's missions are harder than they have any right to be.

I love me some Morrigan but i cannot do the staircase combo for shit and it frustrates the fuck outta me! So i decided to be simple and use characters who do not utilize such mobility.

My question is, is it good to get another controller for this game? This game is pretty hardcore

Still watching the game with a raised eyebrow. Just dunno. This is going to sound insane, but the game feels slow to me. The gameplay is fast, but the movement and the response and such just feels.. weird.

Shrug. Probably not my kinda game.. Its fun to watch but playing it isnt terribly satisfying. Ive always kind of felt these kinds of games are only really combo and reset masturbation. Both players are almost never playing the game. Its a split second of gameplay then a combo that can last a LONG ASS TIME, into a reset, repeat for every team comp, every player, forever. Again, fun to watch, but I like games that let me PLAY them.

I feel you. Its most def waaaaaay different pace than other fighters. It does take time to get used to. But its most def good to play as a switch up when you're bored with Injustice

This team is straight up LOCKDOWN! I'm still trying to figure out awesome setups to punish, but this team is fun as fuck to play! So far being paired with the Reality stone. And when I do the storm, every opponent just tries to block every attack. But i found an awesome ass trick

BOTH characters have command grab level 3 supers. So with all the blocking, at the very end, do end the storm with level 3 then BOOM BITCH! KO!

Its fucking BRILLIANT and im LOOOOOOOVING IT!

Pretty much all I see is those 4 and like Dante and Thanos and Captain Marvel.

Im sure it will all be patched, but that is how it is right now.

Also i play with a Hori Fight commander 4, its a fight pad and it's made me a bit more consistent and better with my fighters, so try a new control option if you feel the regular pad isn't doing it for you.


I think the overused characters are just a fad as usual when a game first starts out, we'll see how things change up in a few months I hope. Took about a year before anyone settled on the Doom/Vergil every match meta of UMVC3.

Zero on the other hand....I just hated how they made him more complicated by holding buttons to do other moves. Aint nobody tryin' to use anybody complicated!

With morrigan for staircase combo after you fly do you press lp,hp then dash (lp+hp) or do you fly and then just press lp, then dash?

Yea, I saw 2 different videos, one where the guy said that after the flight you had to press lp then hp, then dash, on the other vid the guy said you only had to press lp then dash after flight.

After you hit the flight you have to LP then HP, and then dash into HP. Morrigan is unique in that you only have to dash forward HP since she doesn't have an 8 way dash and her Forward dash brings her higher. An easy way to do it is just Flight, LP, HP, ->LP+HP (repeatedly) since i have LP+HP set to one button its the only button i press, the HP always takes priority and comes out over the LP allowing for ease of use.
