Fox said that's WHY he went in hard with Marvel. To beat the hell outta FChamp for what he did and said on stream lol. Think he wants to do it in tournament, though. He was popping off on Twitter telling everybody to play a good game like Skullgirls lmao.Dude, if Fox becomes a Marvel God, that would be so awesome.
Not too long ago, Champ was talking mad shit to Fox after beating him 3-0 or so and told him to come back when he learns how to play (not verbatim) and now look. lol Fox rolled his ass.
Good job, Fox.
Don't even try. One touch and it's over. It's so hurtful. How hard is it to pick up this game?
Gotta say I disagree here with this. Seeing Superman/Supergirl (let's say NRS adopts a 2v2 MvC type mechanic) and Starfire/Poison Ivy zipping all over the screen just wouldn't be that pleasing to see (in my opinion, obviously). NRS doesn't need that flashiness in its games. They seem to do more than well enough without it and a change like that would probably do it no good.It was very satisfying to see Fox destroy fchamp after what fchamp told him after their initial session.
On a different note:
As much as I love Inj2, MvCI gameplay is so open-ended and fluid compared to inj2. I wish NRS would look at revising their gameplay for the injustice series.
When it comes to presentation, game modes and art quality, Inj2 dominates but when it comes to focusing solely on gameplay fighting mechanics Capcom nails it much better. NRS needs to step it up and take a real good look at Capcom's work and consider reworking their fighting mechanics.
NRS would rock the FGC if it combined it's great presentation with Marvel's gameplay.
PS: While I am typing this, Sonic is trolling Punk like nobody's business in the NYC local tourney. He just bodied Punk 3-0. Great laughs.
MvC3 was like that, this new one has great counter mechanics to avoid long boring combos. Capcom is determined to patch out any glitches that cause infinite combos etc.Don't even try. One touch and it's over. It's so hurtful.
I understand what you are getting at but the more you play this game the easier it is to watch the action.Gotta say I disagree here with this. They seem to do more than well enough without it and a change like that would probably do it no good.
I enjoy being able to see pretty much everything the character(s) is/are doing in NRS games versus what you can't really tell is going on in (U)MvC3/Infinite. I mean, you can kinda tell what's going on, but when the camera is zipping around all over the place because most of what is currently happening is taking place in the air, it's just a mess to watch while you wait for them to become grounded again and (very slightly) less mobile.
Regardless, characters in MvC games zip around like no other and you can't really appreciate it what it is that they're doing. However, in NRS games, you can sit there and appreciate what you're seeing (unless it's Deadshot zoning. Fuck that guy.) because it's not so chaotic.
tl;dr - Capcom can keep their chaotic take on the MvC games while NRS keeps their slower take on their games.
Again: This is just my opinion. Not saying you're wrong.![]()
Honestly, it's not that bad. Or at least not as bad as trying to pick up a game like Tekken when you are used to 2D fighters only. How hard is it to pick up this game?
Been trying to do ryu's tatsu corner loops, damn they're hard lol. Do you know what im talking about?Honestly, it's not that bad. Or at least not as bad as trying to pick up a game like Tekken when you are used to 2D fighters only.
In my opinion, the biggest thing that takes a while to grasp is the fact that you have to know how to play 2 characters really well, said 2 characters should probably have synergy with each other, and you need to know how to switch characters and muscle memory on the fly.
Example: You've been practicing a lot with Character A, but your still kinda new to Character B. Don't get me wrong, you know combos and stuff with Character B, it's just that you are still newish (maybe you haven't played them in an online match until now). You are playing as both Character A and B on your new team. You start with Character A and you have all this muscle memory of big combos and things like that. You switch to Character B, and oh no, you are still using your muscle memory from Character A and you are dropping your combos because you are doing the wrong character's inputs.
My advise if you want to start playing the game: pick like maybe 4 characters that you would like to learn, try some different team combos with said 4 characters, and then just stick with the team that you liked the most and stick with it for a good while. The characters you pick should be simpler ones too (just for the sake of making the game easier to learn). The ones that I've played and feel that they are simple/easy are:
I could go on about finding your characters strengths and weaknesses, team composition, what stone you should be choosing, etc. But for now I will leave it at that.
- Ryu
- Thanos
- Ultron
- Jedah (surprisingly)
- And I hear that the following characters are easy to pick up to:
- Iron Man
- Captain Marvel
- Captain America
- NOTE: just because these characters are easier to play doesn't mean that they don't have a high skill ceiling. Because pretty much every character in this game can have a high skill ceiling.
U available to play, what console u on?My Dante x Raccoon is too good
Honestly Ryu is by far my least played out of the 4 characters I posted. I've mainly been playing Jedah/Morrigan and Ultron/Thanos teams. So I really haven't got around to practicing with him much. But I do want to learn him because he's one of my favorite FG characters and I learn him in pretty much any game he's in. So if I get around to learning it and I find a way to pull it off easier, then I will post about it here.Been trying to do ryu's tatsu corner loops, damn they're hard lol. Do you know what im talking about?
I haven't even started story mode, lol. I want to get all the stages, but I don't want to have to sit through it all. I played the story mode demo when the game was coming out, and I couldn't even finish that without skipping the cutscenes. It's super cheezy, it's animated poorly, the voice acting is awful, but the worst thing about it is that it was boring.I need to hop back onto this game. Still haven't even beaten story mode. Yes....I know...it sucks
