Should he have done so well in two tournaments using the kind of strategy he did? No, he shouldn't have. It makes the game look bad and us look bad for letting it happen. However, he did do well. All we can do now is just get so good that people playing that kind of style can't come to tourneys and just do that to win.

props to him for making it work. when it stops working, his strategy will have to evolve or he'll get blown up for continuing to use it. the burden to adapt right now is on us, not him.

Im just really surprised that all those top players didnt know how to deal with the things kung lao was doing, makes you realise people dont know kung lao, like they think they do. Imo the style foxy and curbo plays is how lao should be played, the teleport shenanigans work a lot better against some characters than others, so the things mk legends was doing was not half bad imo.

I saw Moe do some nice work with Ermac and I was impressed with the way he fought KING's Kung Lao. I would use Ermac myself, but I have no clue what strings to do. Everything seems to hit high. I need a strong secondary character. Fighting all these Kung Lao players gets tedious after a while. LOL.

I said the same thing about Apex too... this has nothing to do with regions. It has to do with turnouts. I don't think much significance should be held to major tournaments with turnouts the size of a local.

I'm pretty sure the 4th person that finished 9th is Semi Evil Ryu. He was the last man Dizzy beat before facing Soonk in Top 8.

Golf has the same thing going for it. They have set majors.... whether or not a player shows up is all on the player. If they don't show that is THEIR problem.... not the fault of those that did show up.

It's not anyone's fault. It doesn't diminish the fact that it's a small tournament.
