List of behaviors that need to be adopted

NetherRealm savages, we all know tech but when it comes to tournament games, some things i never wittness. List here actions that should be performed frequently.

Number one for me is taking advantage of Sonya Blades gap in her Overhead Low string. If you are already making the decision to block High, then you should also be prepared to either use armor or backdash after you block the High. No one ever does this on stream in tournament against PG Scar. No duh he does well. No one plays the match up at the highest level.

What else ?

Yup and if they try to bait armor they're -8 off F21. You can actually punish him for baiting

No I'm jk it's still hard to punish shit. I don't always have the timing down for sektors Ex Flamethrower. Shoutouts to blockstun

I play Leatherface, I know the joy of punishing that which so little get to...granted not with a 6f jab but still, feelsgood.

In a tournament setting there's quite a bit of stuff going on. So exploiting every gap possible during a atch isn't going to come natural at all. It's possible just have to be waiting for things. Like Sonyas b14 gap. Sometimes grenades are so in your head you get stuck on defense because fear of a grenade, even if there's not one on the field, because you're conditioned.

I do agree though, it'd be nice to see a bit better gap exposure during matches. The game sometimes just moves too fast to react.

Excellent point but legit, do people know about the Sektor gap? No one did it and the Sektor players at TCW used it a decent amount. Btw, great work at TCW!

I'm still disappointed, friend. Wasn't playing my game but that's OK with me. Had fun regardless of my performance in pools. Was great to be part of production. Thank you for the compliment though :)

Back to your point, it's true. A lot of gaps went free. A lot of Mileena, Sektor, Smoke, Shinnok, etc gaps went free too. I'll be honest, the VA crowd was very good. I think the crowd played a large part in even rattling some of the top players. The whole event was hype.

Some gaps are almost impossible to punish on reaction, Specially if you are conditioned to respect other ridiculous options that said characters have.

That crowd was some of the most hyped I've seen. There was one person that I swear was in a constant state of screaming xD

Which gaps would those be? I get pressured a lot so I'm sure I'm missing them as well.

The pools have a smash title so just look for an MKX thumbnail.

21(u4), 12(3), f1(4)(3) rarely used, ex low sai (between sai tosses), telekick/sai "mixup"
