Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
Dont forget Pig that on Bane's oki game he also has Venom Uppercut (which he can MB on block or whif now) and Double Punch. Generally if I'm waking up I'm using his special attacks for the armored wakeup properties. Rarely will I B23 on wakeup. Like you said though its a guessing game vs Bane's Wakeup. He has tools to cover pretty much anything when he gets up. Also at lvl 3 his F2D and F2 has armor in addition to his specials that have armor at any lvl of venom.

Raven's Soul Crush hitbox gets blown up by most super-low attacks (slides, D3, etc). Also, as it's -20 on block it will never be used as a wake-up. If Raven was ever going to panic wake-up it would be with Singularity which is only (lol) -10 and catches low attacks and some botched jump-ins.

Big problem with Singularity is that only the first half to two-thirds of the start-up is invincible, so she can be hit out of it if you delay the poke.

Has anyone considered just blocking? He has level 1, level 2, level 3 venom. Most of his options blow up yours.

Instead of eating a double punch or a MB uppercut, why not just block and potentially eat the command grab? The command grab animation drains the living shit out of his venom time, especially if he MBs it - and at most he's going to get what? 35%?

I'm absolutely cursing myself by saying this - but maybe eating the grab isn't such a bad idea? Maybe panicing and looking for a way out isn't the answer? The first mistake was letting Bane get the knockdown in the first place, maybe chill the fuck out and maintain composure?

Great info man

So are u saying the d3 delayed will work against both wake ups?

Yes, simply because D3 always works against Soul Crush and ANY delayed normal will work against Singularity. Do it too early and the invincible frames will be hit, but frame 10 onwards (a rough guess) to 16 (the last frame of start-up) are not invincible so you can hit her out of the move before it becomes active.

If you're not expecting a Soul Crush (and seriously, any half-good Raven player will not do that move at point blank except for a guaranteed punish) then multi-hit moves are the easiest to beat wake-up Singularity. Nightwing's staff spin, Green Arrow's bow spin, Aquaman's hundred-trident-stab, etc. Or even moves like Raven's F2 which hits twice very quickly take the effort out of timing it properly.

I know you've blown up the Raven community in the past for downplay, but when we talk about her having really shit wake-up options it is not an exaggeration ;)
