that is why skipping KL it's never a good idea, i honestly don't do it for the costumes, i do it for the krystals.
She has 2 faces in the game. One where she looks younger and 2nd where she looks older. It's the case with one or two of her base outfits.
And they include her last outro to jack up the price except for those who have played Skarlet all the way thru.
Yeah, I hear ya that bugs me. I don't even play her lol. I did at first, I may pick her up again but I just want the outfits. The only thing literally they gave us for free from the start in this game without worrying are the moves in kustomization but it's essentially moot as you can't even use them seriously/competitively...lol so what's the point?

Same for me. When you reach demi-god, you'll get 1100 krystals at the end of the season. Almost the price of a special pack in the Store.
Wow I had literally never noticed that, since I've always had her masked for every skin except the short haired one! Obviously with the classic old school characters it was part of the story and impossible to miss, but didn't realise such a newcomer like her had two face ages too, a lovely little touch.

VS. new-comer Skarlet, a beautiful vampire-like femme fatale who's been an enigma since 1994, debuts for the first time as a fully-fledged non-DLC character in a game whereby they practically announced "NO SEXINESS ANYMORE!" in a franchise that was becoming renowned for its sexualised representation of its female fighters, who's only got really two variants of costume in the base game (desert witch and dominatrix), both of which cover her full body head to toe with nothing but a cleavage window on two costumes to even show any hint of flesh, now has a skin readily available in a short trench coat and thigh-high f**k-me-boots and very little else, in a fetishised military outfit that has sinister cultural WW2 and Cold War significance to anyone who grew up in the 20th century Europe, that's probably one of the most blatantly sexualised in the game...

I can certainly tell you why she's far more appealing to me than Cangaceiro Kano
Kano having the metal eye and while not exactly like a pirate eye patch similar, as he replaced his eye went one step further lol getting tech put in which is cool.
Ooh you've reminded me of another point there, and this does actually quite simply come down to personal taste, that for me I prefer Kano as simplistic-looking as possible. Oh yeah I agree, I mean the only other alternate look I like is one similar to his MK 1 Trevor look with the beard, hair but otherwise Kano. The tattoos, the fancy Drago beard in MK X and all these newer looks I agree over the top too much. No hair, no beard, no tattoos, no glowing eye, just a nice and simple criminal scumbag with a metal plate in his head.
Therefore the release of another over-the-top and silly looking Kano held no appeal whatsoever for me.
Skarlet on the other hand, I was literally struggling to find preferred outfits for, both styles were so "meh" to me that until Klassic Ninja was released and I finally got my hands on a DLC code for Kold War, I literally didn't have a Skarlet I loved, least of all particularly liked. However by comparison I had a Kano I thought was awesome and perfect. So therein alone lies the big reason for me to have wanted Skarlet's two new skin styles so bad; I literally found very little appealing about her aesthetically until they were released. Whereas now, I can happily enjoy four very distinct outfits and styles on her (and that's also increased my appreciation for the base skins I have in my selection):

That said if they released a Richard Divisio-modelled Kano from MK1 in a gi with a non-glowing Odessa's eye, or a perfectly movie-modelled Trevor Goddard from the movie, I'd probably be quite desperate to own those ones too haha. But again, that's because they're simple and how I like the character to be.
I personally felt more limited in choice; don't like the ones with the big shoulder pads and fringe, like Blood Pixie... because the haircut and colour reminds me of my ex-wife
Well that could be a reason. Was about to say the longer haired ones arent that bad. I dont like the short haired catwoman look.
