Not to derail the thread but I have no issue with DLC, my issue is with these GOTY editions that come out within 1 year of release!
Not gonna lie, I have bought a few but that was because the game I didn't care to get Day 1 released one and then that eventually got marked down to $10 on a sale.
Meanwhile a game I was Day 1 excited for and had no problems buying DLC for (example: MK2011) gets a rerelease right after all the DLC is released AND it fixes the Krypt so you can see the DLC endings. Thank goodness it didn't exclusively have the Vita costumes or then I'd really be salty (which, why the fuck didn't they release the Vita costumes for the console versions?).
GotY editions are a standard practice in gaming and have actually been around for a while. They're not designed for the day one customer, but rather those who were on the fence about the game and the extra content bundled in might sway them.
If you're buying a game at launch, you're either going to pay more for extra content but of course you're getting to play it all much earlier, or you need to wait for sales for it to be dirt cheap.
For the Vita version, the exclusive costumes were there as a reason for people to go buy it, since most people owned the game on console already. I also wish they would have come to console though.
