Kitana Anti Air Combo Compilation

Every character has one move in common - Jump. Punish it. Hard.

Most of the combos here are already known to some but may not be recorded. I've seen some questions being raised about anti airs and what to do around the forum, so I'd like to put forward this collection of combos that can used in various situations.

The choice to go with extending the combos with enhanced moves is dependant on two things.

  1. Your meter and whether you have a bar to do it or not.
  2. The opponents meter - Do they have breaker ready? Will they have breaker part way through the combo? Is using your one meter worth them using two for breaker?
There are obviously more combos that you could do from each situation. I've gone for max damage in each situation to the best of my knowledge.

Let this be a living guide. Add your own suggestions. I don't want and will not take credit for any of these combos. I just want the knowledge out there and I think a collection of notation and video is the best way.


MIDSCREEN


****ANTI AIR FROM THE GROUND****

Any anti-air made from a grounded Kitana means that a Fan-Lift can be used in a combo. With the use of enFan-Lift combos can be extented for max damage. It is not worth the use of enGround-Fan / enAir-Fan because the damage output is not as high as enFan-Lift.

Wow. Not even looked at this yet but you've obviously spent some time on this! This should ease my Friday boredom in the office. :)
 
Ha, took a morning or so to record and write up. Good execution practice. The longest part was waiting for the videos to upload, or having to redo a combo because the training recording goes out of sync.

Anyone who mains Kitana will know these combos. There isn't really anything new. It's mostly just the BnB applied in different situations with different starters. I just think there is a lack of enFan-Lift being used to extend the ground based anti air combos.

The only real surpise for me was the 62% and 68% in the corner. Didn't expect to see those numbers come up. Ha. Also, while it's not recorded, you can use 2 xx enFan-Lift after two Fan-Cutter juggles in the corner - For instance, if you catch a F4, 1 in the corner you can do 2 xx Fan-Cutter, 2 xx Fan-Cutter again and then 2 xx enFan-Lift to do a B2 xx Air-Fan etc etc finisher. I'll record some of those combos later. Only maxed out at about 55% with those. But there is certainly damage to be done.
 
Very nice combos man. I usually used variations of these, but now I know the ideal moves in between (like where I can replace a 2 with a 4, or add more fans).

A question though, have you experimented with NJP? Usually I NJP after a fan lift. My disc broke so I can't test if it would do more damage at the moment.

You can add another Fan throw at the end of your 62 and 68% combos to make them 65 and 72% respectively.

It is very rare that you would hit someone anti air with a ground fan, we should really be finding the best combo off of an anti air Air Fan!

* Midscreen from fullscreen or closer:
aaAir Fan, ff~ff~Fan, ff~4~Fan (could be f2~Fan if they are still far away, or 2~Fan if they are too low to the ground), f2~Cutter (or f2~EX Fan, ff~Fan, ff~2~Cutter using one meter) - 34% or so no meter, 40-45% one meter

*Corner from anywhere:
aaAir Fan, dash in to about jump distance, Fan, 4~Fan, 2~Cutter, 333~Cutter for 44% no meter

aaAir Fan is MUCH more likely and should be the focus of finding useful combos to use. But if I ever land an aaFan when someone is in the corner, you might be able to hear my maniacal laugh for landing a 62%+ combo haha
