I was wanting a PC version of KI forever, but this is just too late IMO and I doubt I even play it at this point to be honest.

no fucking way dude.. I have good internet connection, and I do play on PC and ps4 (mkx) and difference is huge.... and my question was about cross platform .... I know how good/bad is net code for mkx, I play it everyday.
Dude,if you have good ISP add me and let's play.Especially if you're from Europe, the game will run great.I clicked your steamid but i didn't see MKX on that account, maybe it's another account?

Also,am quite curious how cross platform will work with future ESL competitions, since PC players have been getting the bone for so long.

How hard do you think this game will be to run? Easier, same or harder to run than MKX? Cause I can run that fine with only a few hiccups here and there which are usually from bugs within the port.
What are your specs? I think you should be fine if you can run MKX as unoptomized as it is. There's a lot of heavy animations and effects though, nothing a few tweaks in your graphics settings can't fix.

Definitely should be lighter than MKX.
Unless they fuck it up really badly.
Which I doubt will happen. Since you know... HVS. I doubt anyone can out-HVS HVS.

Why didn't they do this sooner?
Because ... KI was selling the Xbone and getting it on PC would have hurt their hardware sales.
Regardless of how late we're getting this game it's still good news... MK9 on pc happened in the same fashion I CAN ONLY HOPE that the pc port of KI will not be as dreadful as MK9 was.
Another thing I wish they don't do with this game is make it available for a specific version of windows in order to boost the sales like they did with Halo 2 Vista, but knowing Microsoft this will be Windows 10 exclusive.

Meh, I think it's been proven PC gamers don't like fighting games. After a month out every fighting game on PC dies. PC players are always on the move to something else.

I'm going to get it but I know I'll be disappointed when there's only 20 people online at any given time.
A lot of people played USF4 on PC, one of the very rare ok ports available of a recent fighting game.

Fighters tend to die on PC because :

1) they get half-assed versions, buggy, unplayable shit ... and often, months after the console versions (NRS games)

or

2) they get games they can't play online (Blazblue)

I think it hurting their sales now by not releasing the PC at the same time as the console. At the start, there were plenty of people who wanted to play the game but some couldn't because it was just on Xbone at the time. If they would have release the game at the same time when everyone was hype about it, I believe KI would have benefit more from it widespread.

Now it's been like 2 years and I feel like they missed out on a lot.

I kind of seeing this as two things. They see the threat of SFV and they want to see how much they sale on PC before they decide to announce a Season 3.

SFV will be out in 2016 though, not sure how relevant it is.

I get the whole exclusivity on consoles thing, but what i don't get is why they're not releasing their games on PC.It's not like PC players would go out and say "hey,i cannot play bloodborne, better spend 500 bucks on a console".It's understandable between them, somewhat, why they don't release their games on PC just > me

Because SFV is PS4 exclusive but is also being release for PC as well. Why didn't KI do that at the start?

Booyah!
I'm glad for pc gamers but I don't really play this game anymore since most second season and season 1 chars nullify Glacius gameplay.

He suffers from way too many bad MUs I just gave up on this game.
Honestly Glacius handles fine, MU are fine. Every character offers their own challenge vs Glacius

Really? Damn. Any recommendations?
I'd recommend building a PC. You'll save money and end up with a stronger rig. If you're a beginner, logicalincrements.com is a good place to start.

Do any of you guys know any youtube channels that go over KI related things? Guides, chracter rundowns, gameplay w/ commentary or any good matches to watch? I'm going through that guide Johnny posted but it'd be nice to have some more visual learning to mix in with it.
Hmm. There are a number of YouTube guides out there but more often then not they're filled with stuff you can easily find out in the moves list (which is pretty informative). I find the best place to learn is on KI streams.

KI uses GGPO, right?
Some optimized version of it, yes.
