Hey guys I wasn't able to visit Lex this weekend I apologize. Some family issues I had to deal with. However Flair if you beleive this place to be a good spot I would be willing to drive to morehead once every two weeks at least but prolly even more so then that. Its up to you guys. I will still venture down to Lex this coming weekend and check some things out just to give everyone a few options, but id much rather play in a place you have described with alot of potential then a game store.

I'm from western KY, Murray to be exact. I have no offline scene here... I'd really appreciate any tourny's that are going on that I could attend. I think most of you guys are on Eastern Time Zone ... I'm on Central. Heh. Anyway. Just wanted to throw my name and hat into this thread.

Yep its a very good sign. Also gr8one06 is now on TYM so we have another fellow kentucky player.
Indeed, I'm now on TYM, and definitely interested in offline matches. Would like to see how my Kitana would do against some good competition offline. But win or lose, definitely interested in having some friendly matches and talking some MK with people who share the same passion as I do for this franchise. If any of you are on XBL, hit me up.

It is a lecture lab, it contains two projectors, tons of places to set up TV and such. We can have it anytime in the afternoons. It also has tons of tables and seating. So yeah you can't go wrong here. I really hope we get to develop the KY scene, because I am dying to start traveling. Also to anyone interested I would love to play some other fighters as well. MK is my passion but branching out is never a bad thing.

Hey Flair about how long could we play? Just want the drive to be worth it, but the setup you have described sounds amazing.

Morehead's a little far for me at 4 and a half hours, but I could do Cincinnati OH or Lexington KY every week or 2 weeks.

All of you xbox fellas out there, be sure to check out my clan's thread I just posted a few days back. As for getting some offline matches, very excited about the chance to play my favorite game offline against people who share the same passion for MK as do I.

Trickynick: We can use it At the most 6-7 hours. Depends on when classes let out for it (usually 5PM sometimes earlier.)

However if we were to use it on the weekends then we could have it all day.

Man I have about 2-3 people already in the morehead area who are serious about MK and Marvel. Though they mainly travel for smash, they are willing to start traveling for these games as well, if they get the offline practice. You are going to get to show them how evil those fans can be =P

Hope this all works out. Really looking forward to see offline practice with other serious players, hoping for good times and to take my Sub-Zero to the next level.

as long as we all have a good time and level up. That's all that matters. But Kitana can be a real bitch from a distance and in tight. i been working on some new stuff i haven't seen anyone do. haven't put it into practice just yet but i'm anxious! anyway definitely looking forward to the possibility of getting in some good matches and sharing knowledge with everyone.

By the way, everybody checkout my clan's Official Thread on here.

anyone interested in a louisville meetup? i have a hectic work schedule and probably couldnt commit to anything outside of town.

Hey guys. I'm in Louisville myself, and lo and behold, I actually recently won the Mortal Kombat tournament at GenCon in Indianapolis. I'm not saying that to brag; the reason I bring it up is because it was my first MK tournament period, and I want more offline competition. I encourage any of you to keep in touch with me, and I'll do the best I can to get back with you.

Hey guys I can do louisville matchups on a regular basis if you guys want to play. The hard part is getting all of us together. I didn't have any luck with lexington, and Flair seems to have a nice spot but its almost 3 1/2 hrs away from me lol.

Flair if you and others happen to get something going in Morehead i will try my best to get there when I can.

I actually plan to speak to some local places here in Louisville about starting up a scene. I may even volunteer to run it (pending). The biggest issue, however, is my current job. I work in a restaurant, so having weekends off is not happening, so that's the only thing hurting my motivation.

Either way, if it gets a scene started up, I'll ask around and get back to this forum ASAP once I hear something.

Ok i hope your efforts pay off, and we can have something in Kentucky. Like I said I live in Bullitt County louisville is a 20minute drive from my house. So if it happens count me in. Even if its a day during the week i can prolly make it.

Heh. I'm wondering how you never ran into a buddy of mine who used to live in Shepherdsville. He's in Bardstown now, but he lived in Shep for the better part of 2-3 years. I may ask him if he'd be interested in this as well.
