I was 10 when MK came out but we grew up with the slasher films that seemed ok at the time to watch so MK was just awesome and tame to what I saw growing up. Looking back now and having children ... I do not let them see this stuff MK nor horror films. I would think if you allow 8 year to play at least have common sense to take his mic away.
As a side note I was playing test ur might and got to stage 10, my two boys (9 and 7 years old) walk in and ask if they can sit in here or is it bad stuff? I said "it ok.. It's nothing gruesome". Then I fail and... My head gets chopped off! My 9 year old was drinking orange juice and spit to all over laughing! So maybe he's old enough. : )
