This is pretty cool. But you also get a free f3 after neutral j2. I forget how plus is f3. The advantage I see in using this is that you build meter.

For some reason I have troubles inputting this correctly, my db3 never jails and if I do it too fast I get j2 into divebomb. What's the trick? :/

First remember to input J2 right as you start falling (that bit I'm sure you're not having issue with) as far as the DB3 is concerned make sure you're canceling the J2 much like if you were to cancel a jump normal into a special, you buffer the input as if you were doing that. So your input should look like J2 xx DB3.

I'm doing it but I keep getting j2xxdivebomb. What are your controller settings? Input shortcuts off?

Supes has so many options after deep j2, I can hardly see myself using this, however. Divebomb/b1 50/50's, 11 trait grab, f3, f23xxbreath, 223/22df1, etc...

That is probably why you do not see it too often. It's nice, but it floats aloft a sea of niceness.

Personally, I think I would prefer f3 in order to achieve plus frames, as it is much more likely to force an error and hit, and when it does it is much easier to convert. I would take this, plus the increased ease of execution, over increased chip damage and meterbuild, but it is preference and subject to change. I honestly had no idea j2xxdb3 would jail, so it is good to know for the future.

Will try in the morning thanks. Supes with this level of depth will hopefully make him more fun to play.

ya the reset is good itself. i stopped trying to make this work a few months back, way too inconsistent/punishable would love to see a superman player nail this 100% in tournament.


fyi training mode ai is unreliable in nrs games when practicing as shown here:

recorded on ai settings auto block low stance it "jails". but the same timing with human harley you can duck.
