To be honest, if you are doing all time, then get mike out of here. won 3 tourneys early MK9 and hasnt done anything in over a year and a half.

there are ONLY 3 players who have delivered in the top from the very first tourney to current day.. PL, REO, and myself. Only one person has won majors from vanilla MK9 to the last revision, PL. After PDP, 16bit began to place top 16 in majors and top 5 at EVO2011, making 16 Bit, REO, PL, and myself the only players to place from MK9's earliest days to current day.

If there were an all time list, the question wouldnt be "Is Tom top 10?", it would be "Is Tom top 5?".

The Debate of who is the absolute best ALL TIME is between PL and REO. PL is the only one to win in every version of the game, including back to back wins at EVO. REO has placed top from day 1 and won his first major at Devastation 2011. he has won several majors since then, including 2 MLG events and the last NEC. The debate is between those 2 only, and only CDjr can come in after and finish the top 3 players of all time.

Thats actually an easy question. Tom Brady, REO, CDjr, and EGP Tyrant. I took the obvious PL out because his stock is so low right now he is in foxygrandpa status of washed up.

i placed at evo 2011 and placed high at most the tourneys i've been able to get to. pl may be one of the best but vegas frees him up 8-2 mu

It has now been 1 year officially that you have consistently placed top. You are without question top 10 all time. The only thing that separates you from the top 3 is they have several major tourney wins.

LBSH.. I could make 9999999999999 top 8's and still never be called top 10. I have placed top consistently in every era where the game has evolved and in every version of the game. If me placing top consistently isnt enough, then nothing is. Fact is that because I cannot compete in MLG, that is held against me. So, no matter what I do, it will never be enough. Proof of that is simple...I am the only consistent top 8 placer from day 1 to not be considered top 10.

I dont know why that is, maybe its the Brady double standard.. but if anyone else had my resume ppl would shout "top 10". However, because its me, it just inst enough. In the public opinion, I would need to win a major to be considered top 10, but this is not the case for anyone else. I dont mind the double standard or peoples hate or bias against me, at the end of the day my accomplishments will sit in stone and cannot be taken away, while peoples words fade away with the breeze.

Tom Brady vs Showtime showed everyone on stream just how powerful his playstyle is against Sonya and made Showtime looked like a tamed Lion. Not many people can do that to Showtime.

If we're going by our new professional way of determining stuff like this based on results.. Then a player is considered top10 based on their wins and losses against other players that are also top10.

Which would probably be something like:

REO, Maxter, PerfectLegend, Pig, CD Jr. MIT, DJT, Dizzy, 16 Bit, Detroit (his stock might have dropped slightly, though).

Tyrant's stock is variable lately.. He was solidly in the top10, but he's been going through some stuff at the last couple of big tourneys. He is unquestionably in the 'extended top10', though.

(Also if we're honest, m2dave is coming for Detroit's spot.. If he gets one more top8 finish, he's undenialbly in the top10. And Sonic Fox is as talented as anyone else in that group; so if he keeps winning we can probably put him in the 'extended top10').

So the group of players 'at a top10 level' would be something like REO, Maxter, PL, Pig, Jr., MIT, DJT, Dizzy, Bit, Detroit, Tyrant, m2dave, and SonicFox.

If you have as many current wins as losses against that group of players, than you can be rightfully considered an 'extended top10' player. Otherwise, you should be considered outside of top10.

However, who the top10 players are, is a bit of a guess, until we start putting the actual results together.

Now allow me to sneak back out of this thread as fast as possible before Tom Brady blows me up.

Because you're putting your personal opinion into it.. Unless he's been doing better than REO Maxter Pig Jr. PL MIT DJT Dizzy Bit and Detroit, then you're going to have to make a case for him removing one of those people from the top10. Detroit won an MLG, making him one of only 4 mk9 players that can say they've ever won an MLG or an EVO. He was 9th at Raleigh which is his most current placement, again in the most stacked possible conditions.

This is exactly why it doesn't work to go based on your personal biases. Just like I think m2dave (with a working pad) is easily top10 material, but I can't justify swapping one of those guys for him until he proves it again.

Again, it's not an exact science.. Which is why it's easier to make an 'extended top10' until you actually crunch the results.

And as far as being one of the strongest west coast players, I agree -- But this isn't the west coast top10, so I'm not sure why you brought that up .

Assuming you mean number 1 with jax because that is only category I ever put tyrant before CDjr in, well CDjr didn't even go 100 percent jax at NEC, typical. Lets get this straight CDjr is not a character specialist, and beside season beatings 2011 right after all jax buffes rolled out (Btw that SB top 8 was just vsm + m2dave). CDjr hasn't won a big tournament going 100 percent Jax and he never will again. Tyrant resume speaks for its self he has accomplished the most with that character threw out mk9 life span even before Jaxs buffs.
