That's another thing. Sonicfox is a tourney goer with a lot of experience and skill. Along with the other top 16 that went that's a lot to overcome for some online warriors. Not saying that it's not possible and on one should try. But bringing up ESL is way more than just "you get to play in ESL"

being "able" to play is our problem. most of us can't even get a match going on XBL if you're just looking for randos.

good on you guys in europe if the game's online works well enough for ESL to run well, but i know in my corner of the globe that ain't gonna happen.

Online for MKX is terrible. I mean the bars don't really mean anything. I've come across red bars that has good connection and green bars that has major input delay. Like there are time were you just have to rely on the lag and lame them out. And stuff are way more safe in this game than the past that shouldn't be. Nothing comes out, and you get weird inputs or movement when you are like "I didn't do that!"

I had way more fun online with MK9 on PS3 and Injustice on PS4. It's getting to the point were it's not that fun anymore.

If you don't care about money and just want to play MKX online and have fun, it is not worth it. Probably the only video game I have actually regretted purchasing in the last 10 years. It is a shame the game is fun to play but if you only play a fighting game online after work MKX its by far the worst choice among modern games of its genre.

I have a 80 mb/s download and 30 mb/s upload wired connection .Out of all the matches I've played maybe about 20% have had below 10 frames of input delay. Anyone who tries to defend this games online is just dumb. And the fact that NRS isn't taking this issue seriously considering that they have weekly online tournaments with ESL is embarrassing.

In MK9 and Injustice I had a lot of fun playing online, not not so much in MKX.
So what do you guys think? Is MKX only fun offline? Is playing online a waste of time?

p.s. I know offline is always better but not everyone can make it to events so ya know...

I have the same feelings you do. But yes, unless you want a superficial egoboost from a game with terrible netcode, then being an online warrior is useless.

In all honesty, I suck at SF but at least I can play it. I lose because I suck and I can accept that. With NRS' games? I lose because I can't even do combos online, lag tactics dominate playing online, frame date is ALL OVER THE PLACE, and then the game will probably just desync mid match anyways. These games are the most aggravating god damn thing I have ever experienced online and their inability to produce a decent netcode when every other company can is bullshit. Rising Thunder is a FREE GAME AND HAS A BETTER NETCODE.

The entire FGC needs to just flat out boycott their next game. NRS won't give a fuck until they've lost money. Stop supporting them...I didn't buy this hunk of shit because I figured it'd be the same bullshit all over again. And if they go bankrupt yet again? GOOD!

They deserve it at this point in my opinion. This isn't MK9; the 'oh they're new to this' excuse doesn't hold anymore.

NRS irritates me because I've been saying...they could hurry up and release skin packs for purchase...but don't put that effort into the netcode and online experience for a game thats been out since April. ESL isn't helping because they're raking in so much publicity, money, and sponsors. Most ESL winners aren't going to complain because they won money, and to my knowledge haven't spoken out about it. I don't even bother with ESL because I'm not going to end up getting shafted because of inputs not working precisely as they should.
