Injustice Tournament Rules (Circa 2013)

Winterfell

Zatanna for DLC!
I would be about the 50/50 pick then loser picks. If stages matter, then why not play the stages that allow your character the best chance to win? Although I'm okay with Random/ loser picks though.

although scorp ban shouldn't be warrented just yet. Even though I voted yes on the ban, I'm old school at heart because I'm really trying to see what makes him super good. Like I know the signs, but I want to believe at CEO. If everyone's prerogative is to banned scorp. the I'll respect the rules, just letting you know them Scorp mains are gonna flip.

At this point in time Scorpion is Old Sagat. That's quite possibly the best way to look at it. If we keep him in for tournaments...over half of the cast cannot be used competitively.

He's either ST Akuma or not. Old Sagat is nowhere near ST Akuma.

You're over matched.
I had a tread up about it but someone took it down. All ima say its a time thing. I don't wanna make the game more broken then it somewhat is. But if not blown up before hand ima repost after evo.

A few characters can handle scorpion in this game, however there would be no point on maining any other character but the few that can deal with scorpion if you want to be competitive...that makes him more like Old Sagat imo.

From what I know some characters could also handle ST Akuma.

He's nowhere near Old Sagat or the AE Twins, for that mattter. As Bildslash said, he's Turbo Akuma.

Can someone help me? I keep trying to get to Test Your Might, but end up at Smashboards somehow.

Also, old sagat wasn't banned, and half the cast is already not viable, but whatever.

a NW player loses to KF then proceeds to pick Superman & metropolis street just so they can try & get her on rooftop to throw shit at her.

Why not just pick rooftop right away?

and then what happens, for the final game the KF player picks a stage that is advantaged for a gadget vs a power and has the court advantage in the most important round. Just as always happens when you counterpick in a best out of 3.

"Official" according to who?

It doesn't matter who the fuck makes them. Don't get caught up in petty bullshit. These rules make sense and we currently are in limbo when it comes to Tournament rules.

You may ask why this is so important to me at this moment?

Because I am currently organizing a tournament and we literally do not have a universal rule set. From now on, all tournament I run and I would hope others as well will follow these rules.

Sounds like Kabal to me. A ton of characters in MK weren't able to be used competitively... yet, was Kabal banned? No.

Face it, you're done.

Kabal was the best character. He focused on every single frame and proved to be dominant. He was good because he played very well.

Scorpion is not the best, or even near it but with ONE move he can shit on a lot of the cast, completely stop interactables on his opponents, and has a constant mixup going on all the time.

His tele is only blocked by crouching down which means guess what position you're going to be in the whole match?

That's all well and good, but my point was to the quote I posted.

if what I quoted was the reason to ban scorpion... then under those terms, kabal should've been banned as well. So, on that logic if Kabal was left in, Scorpion should be too.

Loser can pick a new stage or a new character. Never 50/50, IMO.

Just curious: Can anyone name me an example of a bad matchup that gets better because of the stage? Because mainly the power characters like Superman, who has very few bad matchups only seem to gain an advantage on several stages. (compared to a stage without interactibles)
