Still listening right now. I'm kind of divided on Arma's sentiments towards the stream situation. I don't necessarily think its insignificant to have some exposure on the main stream...but I do agree that if we're expecting people to see the game on stream and magically awaken to how freaking awesome it is we're really just fooling ourselves.
Plus...if we really want the NRS scene to grow we're at a point that I think we should consider that our ultimate goal probably shouldn't be to pickup the scraps from Capcom players. I've said before that I don't believe that there's some kind of a conspiracy from capcom players to keep the rest of the FGC down under their heel or anything....but that result is almost inevitable when we're stuck ridding their coattails and piggybacking on their streams. I think that if NRS players really want the scene and their games to grow into something larger we need to follow through on things like NRS centered majors and focus more on our own streams and hyping up the game.
Say what you will about Smash Bros., but that community is doing pretty well for itself in comparison to most fighting game communities and they didn't get that way by appealing to larger members of the FGC.
EDIT: actually when I put it that way I guess I'm not really that divided....I do think being on the mainstream is something at least.
