I have been testing it in my injustice ranked videos, and it works, the grab catches back dash's, unsure about MB escapes, but after trait it is 100% a guessing game, they can mb you can mb they can duck you can grab...etc it basicly turns it into a guessing game and if you guess right you do amazing dmg!

First thing to mention is that from my testing, you can backdash or b3/f3 MB the grab after f22 xx trait, even in the corner.

Anyway, not to sound ungrateful, but looking over the damage values for each follow-up (f22 into guaranteed dbf2 MB and f22 xx trait), it seems to me like this trait reset is not worth performing.

Warning: A lot of text follows.
For the following, I assume each follow-up uses equal meter and performs an equal number of non-guaranteed resets. What I mean by "non-guaranteed resets" is the sweep ender knockdown into oki or the trait reset itself. For example, the f22 xx trait; dbf1 MB, b3, j3, 112 xx db2 combo is a 1 bar, 1 reset possibility for the trait follow-up, whereas f22; dbf1 MB, b3, j2, j2, d3; dbf1 is a 1 bar, 1 reset possibility for the guaranteed grab follow-up. The follow-ups I have considered for the trait mix-up are dbf1 (MB), 22 xx dbf1 (MB), f12 xx dbf1 (MB), db1 (MB), b3 MB, f3 MB, and b2 xx dbf1 (MB) and the follow-ups I have considered for the d3 knockdown are dbf1 (MB), 22 xx dbf1 (MB), b3 MB, f3 MB. I feel these options are sufficient for accurate comparison. Also, simply averaging the damage values from each follow-up is not an entirely fair comparison since some are more likely to be used and/or more useful than others, but in the absence of an absolute way to weigh their values, I'm simply going to consider them all equal in weight (the damage values are rather uniform anyway). I'm also using the combos that I would use in a real match if I had to use the designated starter, ender, and amount of meter/resets, so a small amount of discrepancy may be present there, but it shouldn't matter much.

trait variation deals about 8% more damage and leaves you with no trait

tl;dr: On average, the trait reset barely deals more damage than the guaranteed dbf1 followup and only notably does so if a second trait combo is performed. I already know the testing/math is not perfect (I assume each combo in the last section uses 1 bar each, assume d3 is the only oki ender, ignore 3-bar possiblities, assume the last combo sacrifices oki, omit some possibilities, etc.), but I feel it demonstrates well enough the point I'm trying to make. I don't much feel like doing the math right now, but at a glance, it seems the trait reset deals even less damage in comparison to the guaranteed grab if the last combo isn't a damage ender. Under the assumption that the pressure off the trait reset is weaker than that of a d3 knockdown, I don't feel that the potential damage bonus from the trait reset is worth the risk of losing guaranteed damage except perhaps against a character has a notably strong wake-up game against Shazam (Harley/Killer Frost/Black Adam?). I'd be glad to be convinced I'm wrong, though.

I'll post this here, just a little trait gimmick, I'm not sure how viable it could end up being (probably not at some you are giving up guaranteed damage). b2xxtrait, dash forward command grab has to be wake up attacked. The knockdown is techable but you seem to be able to catch the roll anyway. It's weird, I will confirm and make a video tonight.

aint nothing like having this in your bag of tricks...good find always have to keep your opponent guessing we should use this as well as his other tricks set ups or gimmicks

Its my opinion currently that its better to go for guarunteed damage with the reset, then sacrifice only a little damage by ending the combo by canceling into trait from your last normal. This gives you a setup to keep going with trait activated, and you still get almost all of your damage from the first combo. Its good to always have more options though so this is certainly good to mix in there.
